Kwstas ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Center for Hellenic Studies Temple University Hellenic Cultural Festival April 8, 1995 A festival celebrating Hellenic culture is to be held on the Main campus of Temple University, Broad St. and berks Mall, Philadelphia, PA 19122, on Saturday, April 8 1995, 2:00-6:00 pm. as the first public activity of our newly established Regional Center for Hellenic studies. The program includes among others: o A Lecture "On the Sources of Modern Hellenic Conciousness" by Speros Vryonis Jr., Alexander S. Onassis Professor of Byzantine History, New York University; 2:25 pm, Feinstone Lounge, Sullivan hall o An exhibit of immigrant documents, puctures and paraphernalia from the early days of the Hellenic community in the Delaware valley, organized by the Hellenic-American Historical Society of Philadelphia; Paley Library lobby o An exhibit of photographs and records of the great poets Cavafy and Seferis; Paley Library mezzanine o And an introduction to and reading from their poetry. 4:30 pm, Palye Library A brainstorm session will follow to which all interested participants are invited All events are open to the public on a first come basis. The Library excibits will be open from April 2 to April 15.
