There have been daily demonstrations in Belgrade and other urban centers
since the municipal elections in Serbia on November 17, 1996. Clashes
between demonstrators and police have occasionally resulted in severe
injuries. American citizens are urged to exercise caution around all such
demonstrations and rallies.
