SARAJEVO - The vicepresidents of the Government of Republi- ka Srpska (RS), for public works and internal policy, Velibor Ostojic and Mirosav Vjestica, respectively, talked today in Pale with the OSCE Mission chief in the former B-h, Robert Fro wick on the upcoming elections in RS and the Croat-Muslim Feder- ation. "We discussed the ways of resolving the problems arising on a daily basis. We informed Mr. Frowick of our preparations for the elections, as well as of the measures undertaken consistently with our position to hold the elections as scheduled in the Annex 3 of the Dayton agreement, stated Velibor Ostojic, after the meeting.

PRNJAVOR - The SDS presidential candidate for RS, Biljana Plavsic, stated in Smrtici, near Prnjavor, that "peace has alter native", and that "the Serbian people and their state are the sacredness above any peace". "So, think well about all, and watch to whom your votes will go", stated Proff. Biljana Plavsic while addressing to people assembled at the SDS preelection rally in Prnjavor.

DERVENTA - The RS vicepresident and acting president, Biljana Plavsic, warned at a meeting of SDS in Derventa that "the Serbian people was taught by their history that they were happy only when they lived in their national state". Welcomed by applause of over 10,000 people assembled at a rally in Derventa, the SDS candidate for president of RS, stated that "the upcoming elections are crucial for the fate of the Serbian state in the region".

DERVENTA - We should have do everything to provide our youth with future, to create a state for them and eliminate every possibility of future warfare, stated the president of the RS National Assmelby and SDS candidate for the joint Presidency of RS and the B-H Federation, Momcilo Krajsinik. While talking at the rally in Derventa, Momcilo Krajisnik pointed out that "The Serbian nation got what a nation needs to fight for only once in its history - its state".

DERVENTA - While talking at the meeting of the SDS in Der venta, held as a part of the preelection campaign of the SDS, the acting president of the SDS and the first named on the list of deputies for the RS National Assmelby, Aleksa Buha, stated that the "elections must be held on September 14, as was agreed to in Dayton. "There can be no delay of the elections without consent of all those who signed the Dayton agreement. If the relations within the CoatMuslim Federation are not settled, and if it is the very reason to delay the elections, we will proceed with the elections in RS", stated Buha.

DERVENTA - The first named on the list of the SDS for the House of Representatives of the joint Parliament of RS and the CroatMuslim Federation, Slobodan Bijelic, stated in Derventa that the elections will be a test for the Serbian people to air they options for or against RS. "If you give your vote to the SDS, everyone will understand that we deserve to have our own state", stated Bijelic. "Only united, the Serbs have always been the winning party. A defeat for the SDS would destroy RS and move the Serbs on new exodus, so vote for the SDS for it is a guaran tee of our survival. The RS statehood will be sealed out thought the SDS victory, and those able to create a state, they will know how to preserve it", stated Dragoljub Mirjanic, the SD candidate for the RR vicepresident.

HAN PIJESAK - The Serbian Radical Party (SRS) for RS intro duced its programme to the voters in Han Pijesak and Sokolac, calling them to go for elections for they are an historic turn for the Serbian people W of the Drina. The SRS president Vojislav Seselj, warned that "the Serbs must stay united".

DOBOJ - This morning's meeting of the Muslims from Tesanj in Matuzici, three kms SW of Doboj, was continued in the afternoon, stated Frederick Almand, IFOR NordicPolish Brigade spokesman, for SRNA. The organiser of the rally was the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), which announced a "radical campaign against the city of Doboj".

HAMBURG - The Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic, "dis creetly" supports political parties gathered around the Socialist Party of RS, even though such a closeness is not quite popular with the RS constituency, warned the Suddeutsche Zeitung. "That is why the SP for RS believes it would be better not to have Milosevic seen or mentioned at its posters", concludes the German paper.

SARAJEVO - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) for Herzeg Bosnia, has officially started up its preelection campaign, rising high Croat colours and attacking the opposition at an assembly in Sarajevo, reports AFP. "We are convinced in our victory at the elections", stated Bozo Rajic, the Party's presi dent in front of 1,000 assembled followers in Sarajevo's Skende rija.

HAMBURG - In the SDA-controlled parts of the CroatMuslim Federation, opposition parties can experience all SDA fury on their own skin, concludes the German paper Suddeutsche Zeitung. While describing difficulties the opposition is faced with during the preelection campaigns, the paper notices that the position of such political parties is additionally hardened by a fact that the SDA dominates even such structures as police is.

CAZIN - The physical attacks, intimidation, destroying of posters - all this is an allowed activity directed against the opposition in Cazin, the site of once fierce interMuslim clash- es, reports AFP. The AFP correspondent says in its commentary that Cazin has the highest record of registered preelection incidents in the CroatMuslim Federation.
