In talks, assessed as being very useful, they exchanged information concerning the first postwar elections in the RS and the Federa- tion. As was announced to journalists, the Austrian ambassador expressed his pleasure with the fact that the elections were held without problems, thus challenging some Muslim objections con cerning the validity of the elections in RS. SARAJEVO - The first unofficial returns from 14 municipali ties in RS show that the SDS candidate for the B-H presidency Momcilo Krajisnik is overwhelmingly leading with 77 percent of votes, and the opposition candidate Mladen Ivanic is on the second place with 15 percent of votes. Final results for the RS member of the B-H presidency will be announced tomorrow by OSCE, but it is certain that Krajisnik took the ballot. BRCKO - The SDS candidate for the B-H presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, dominantly leads in Brcko, with 76.8 percent of votes; the counting of votes on the first level was finished at 12:00 hrs, and votes for the second electoral level, i.e. elections for members of the joint parliament of the Dayton Bosnia are expected to be announced by 24:00 hrs. SARAJEVO - According to returns from 10 municipalities in RS and 17 municipalities in Federation of B-H, in a run for tri partite presidency of B-H, Momcilo Krajisnik, Alija Izetbegovic and Kresimir Zubak are in the lead. OSCE data say Krajisnik got 83.811 percent of votes in 10 municipalities in RS; in 17 munici palities in the Federation, Alija Izetbegovic got 79.318 percent of votes, and Zubak is to win his membership with 83.946 percent of votes. SARAJEVO - The SDS presidential candidate Biljana Plavsic, got 80 percent of votes in Pale Municipality. Momcilo Krajisnik got over 90 percent of votes. The SDS is dominantly on the first place, for the seats in RS assembly, and is followed by the SRS. LOPARE - Returns made available at Lopare electoral commis sion indicate the SDS candidates for president and vicepresident of RS, Biljana Plavsic and Dragoljub Mirjanic, predominantly winning with 69.50 percent of votes. SRNA learns that the SDS got the majority, 60.30 percent of votes, for RS assembly, and 60.75 percent for B-H parliament. KNEZEVO - The SDS candidate for president of RS, Biljana Plavsic, got 6,499 votes in Knezevo, and the SDS won the majority of votes for the joint B-H parliament. KRUPA - NA-UNI, SRBAC - The SDS candidates for president and vicepresident of RS, Biljana Plavsic and Dragoljub Mirajnic, got 1,370 out of 1,586 votes, while 1,360 out of 1,600 votes went to SDS candidates for the B-H house of representatives. The Demo cratic Patriotic Block got 91 votes, which is the number shared with the Alliance for Peace and Progress and the Party of Demo cratic Action. In Srbac Municipality, Biljana Plavsic and Dragol jub Mirjanic got 60 percent of votes, and the Alliance for Free Peace's candidate, Zivko Radisic, got 26 per cent of votes. BEOGRAD - The wellknown Belgrade's columnist and the member of the RS Senate, Dragos Kalajic, assessed in Belgrade that he was pleasantly surprised by missing of the Muslim sweeping RS during the elections. "This may be indicative of a process of Muslim weakeningup and reconciliation with the reality of Serbi- an freedom", stated Kalajic for SRNA. BEOGRAD - The vicepresident of the Party of Serbian Unity (SSJ) Borislav Pelevic, assessed that this party was satisfied with the atmosphere of the elections in RS. At a press conference in Belgrade, he pointed at Brcko as an exemption "where a SSJ observer noted IFOR representatives taking a bag with 15,000 bal lots without any documentation and without any explanation where those ballots came from". BEOGRAD - The president of the Socialist Party of Serbia Belgrade's City Board, Branislav Ivkovic, assessed that the most important result of the elections in RS and the CroatMuslim Fed- eration was that they proceeded in peace. "The elections showed the victory of reason and peace", stated Ivkovic, during a press conference, adding that "it is important that multiparty parlia mentarism took a hold in this former Yugoslav republic". ZENICA - The holding of the elections in RS and the Croat Muslim Federation finally destroyed all Muslim hopes for crea tion of a multiethnic Bosnia and reaffirmed RS statehood, says the commentary of the Muslim RadioZenica.
