BANJALUKA - The president of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic, talked in Banjluka with a delegation of the Serb District of Eastern Slavonija, Baranja and Western Srem - comprised of Government and non-governmental organisations - about the current status of the Serbs in Croatia before the elections there. An announcement from the RS Presidential Cabinet says the meeting was attended by the RS vice-president Dragoljub Mirjanic. The delegation informed the RS president that there has been huge tension, uncertainty and fear in the District caused by a decision of the Croatian Government to divide the District into two parts, which decision would rule out any possibility of Serb self-managing.

BANJALUKA - The former RS vice-president, prof Nikola Koljevic, who died yesterday in Belgrade, will be buried at the Serb Orthodox Graveyard, "St. Pantelija", in Banjaluka, on Tuesday, 28th January, at 14:30, announced the Board for Funeral.

SARAJEVO - The president in the Dayton B-H Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, sent a telegram of condolence to family of deceased prof Nikola Koljevic. "With a great sorrow I received the information of the death of my friend and one of my closest assistants during the most difficult times", says the telegram.

BANJALUKA - The RS vice-president Dragoljub Mirjanic sent a telegram of condolence to Koljevic' family, saying "I am sending my most sincere sympathies from Nikola Koljevic's native city Banjaluka".

SARAJEVO - In the village of Mirosavci-Bare, the residents of villages on the slopes of Mt. Majevica protested against the violation of the Dayton agreement caused by the occupation of the Serb village of Gajevi.

PRISTINA - The All-Serbian Church Assembly in Pristina is explicit in a position that the process of 'Albanisation' of the Kossovo and Metohija cannot be put to a halt without a wellthought national policy and well- organised democratic Serbia - Serbia which is integrated into Europe and is supported by the democratic public.

BEOGRAD - The president of the Democratic Party (DS), Zoran Djindjic, accused Serbia's president Slobodan Milosevic of trading with the territories of his own country, with an aim at pushing the annulment of the electoral results into the second plan. "There is nobody in the world to mention the Kossovo, Sanjak and

Vojvodina, but Milosevic", stated Djindjic at a rally of the Coalition "Together" at the main Belgrade's square.

BEOGRAD - The religious procession on the occasion of January 27th, St. Sava Day, led by His Holiness Patriarch of the Serbs, Pavle, will start at 7:00 am in front of the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Belgrade.

BEOGRAD - The deputy Russian foreign minister, Igor Ivanov, arrived to Belgrade where he will hold talks with Serbia's president Slobodan Milosevic and leaders of the opposition coalition "Together". Upon his arrival to Belgrade. Ivanov stated that Russia was ready to deliver necessary support and cooperation in the normalisation of the situation in Serbia.

BEOGRAD - The president of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), Vojislav Seselj, talked in the Federal Assmelby with a multiparty delegation of the Russian Duma, led by its vice-president Sergei Baburin. Seselj said to the guests from Russia that a huge dissatisfaction of the people with the current regime surfaced during the local elections, though the coalition "Together" won the power in about thirty cities in Serbia, the regime abused the jurisdiction system and annulled the election results.

BEOGRAD - The delegation of the Russian Duma, led by its vice-president Sergei Baburin, talked in Belgrade with the vicepresident of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Mirko Petrovic. The DSS issued a communique saying the main topic of discussion was the post-election crisis in Serbia and the participation of the international community in its resolving.
