NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

PALE - The president from Republika Srpska (RS) in the B-H Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, is in meting with Pope's nuncio in Sarajevo, Francesco Monterisi.

BANJALUKA - The Serbian Patriotic Party (SPAS) believes that the agreement concluded between RS and FR Yugoslavia "is even less significant than one signed between Croatia and Federation of B-H", and that by this agreement "RS is in more unfavourable position than it would be with an agreement as called for in the Dayton agreement". The SPAS demands that the agreement be "brought back to democratic framework, i.e. to National Assmelby, where the possibilities of special relation with FRY should be reviewed".

BANJALUKA - The President of the Democratic Patriotic Block, Predrag Radic, believes that the Agreement in special and parallel relations, concluded between B-H and FR Yugoslavia, "because it will be rectified by B-H and Yugoslav Assemblies". He welcomed the agreement, but said it was strange why RS president Biljana Plavisic was not present at a ceremony of its signing".

KRAGUEJVAC - The Agreement on special relations with RS and FRY is a part of the political marketing of the Socialist Party and JUL (Yugoslav Joined Leftists), the same political forces that signed capitulation on the Drina a few year ago, says the Serbian Radical Party (SRS).

NOVI SAD - The president of the Democratic Party Vojvodina Board, Bogoljub Trkulja, assessed that the agreement on special relations between RS and FRY "bolsters the function and role of the future FRY president, Slobodan Milosevic".

SARAJEVO - The chair of the B-H Presidency, Alija Izetbegovic, and co- president in the Council of Ministers, Haris Silajdzic, assessed the Agreement on special relations between RS and FRY as "illegal". In their joint communique, they said that "RS is not an independent state entity, and it should not conclude agreements on foreign trade, citizenship, border crossings and military cooperation".

SARAJEVO - The president in the B-H Presidency Alija Izetbegovic, assessed that the Agreement on special relations between FRY and RS has the aim to obstruct the Dayton agreement and destabilise B-H. He pointed out that "the military part of the Agreement violates the balance achieved under the Dayton agreement and represents a danger for peace in the whole of region".

BANJALUKA - Authorities of the B-H Federation disallowing the former residents of Drvar to visit graves of their relatives on Memorial Saturday, March 1, can be interpreted only as a part of deliberate policy of obstruction, implemented by authorities in the Federation of B-H, assesses the Social-Liberal Party of RS. The president of the Executive Board of the Party Djordje Latinovic, stated that "the international community fails to react to such cases, and at the end of day accuses the Serbs".

SARAJEVO - Kasim and Akim Blekic, who were claimed to be dead, for which their alleged murderers, the Serbs Sretko Damjanovic and Borislav Herak, were sentenced to death, are found alive in Vogosca, to a great astonishment of Muslim authorities in Sarajevo, reports the New York Times, and claims that "finding the two Muslims, of whose alleged murder Damjanovic was accused, prompted their lawyer Branko Maric to ask for renewal of the process".

SARAJEVO - Three years of the Federation are illusion and deceit, for although the administration was established on certain levels, no vital function was made reality, assess Muslim commentators. They say it is a high time to rise a question of responsibility for this situation, and to review the whole concept of the Federation.
