BANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic
announced in Banja Luka that she will already at the constitutional session
of the National Assembly of RS, scheduled for December 27 in Bijeljina,
announce the name of the new mandatory of the Government. President Plavsic
confirmed in the brief statement for reporters that today in Brcko were
done the consultations about holding the constitutive session and that it
was agreed that at that assembly must be "done something concrete".
BANJA LUKA - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic stated in Banja Luka that
with Portuguese chief of diplomacy Jaime Gamma she reached the "high degree
of accordance about all more important issues, especially about the problem
of refugees and displaced persons". "Mr. Gamma is most rational and well-
intentioned collocutor which we had when in question are the most difficult
problems in RS - refugees and displaced persons. If everybody have the same
way of approaching to this problem, we would be on the right way of its
solving", stressed Mrs. Plavsic. Gamma stated that he finishes the visit to
FR Yugoslavia, Croatia and B&H by talks with the president of RS, with whom,
as he said, he lead opened and positive dialogue about all issues with
which faces RS".
SARAJEVO - The Government of RS and General Staff of RS Army agreed in Pale
that in the shortest time period is necessary to undertake the measures on
correcting irregularities and improving standard of soldiers, especially
those who are serving the regular military service.
SARAJEVO - The current champion of Yugoslavia in chess Dragoljub
Velimirovic by beating Milan Damljanovic in the last game, secured the
first place at the Second international grand master tournament "Jahorina
'97" which was played in the hotel "Bistrica" on Jahorina mountain.
