SARAJEVO - The Deputy High International Representative for B&H Jacques Klein strongly denied claims of media that at the beginning of November of 1997 he had warned the President from RS in B&H Presidency Momcilo Krajisnik that he would be replaced in two months if he would not fulfil regulations of the Dayton Agreement. " I have never said that and I would never state something like that" - stated Klein in an interview for the last edition of Sarajevo's weekly "Free Bosnia", remarking that it is about media lies and fabrications which are probably made up to frighten Krajisnik.

BANJALUKA - The president of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic announced a session of the National Assembly (NS) during this week in Banjaluka, at which new ministers in the RS Government should take an oath. Mrs. Plavsic stated that the Deputy of High International Representative Hans Schumacher had promised her that the international community would give financial help to RS, which have been intended, but, as she said, election of the new Government was waited for.

BANJALUKA - The new RS Government with Milorad Dodik at the head adopted at the first working-consultative meeting the Plan of Operations until January 31 of this year, by which it is anticipated that the current and former premier should complete the transfer of duties in 48 hours, and ministers in 72 hours. The Government and its' president set a task for themselves to prepare decision on change of RS Government headquarters in three days, and to open its' unique giro account in Banjaluka in 48 hours and to suspend giro accounts of all republic state organs.

BANJALUKA - The new-elected RS Government's president Milorad Dodik has informed the members of his Cabinet that he had agreed with RS president Biljana Plavsic that the session of RS Assembly would be scheduled for January 24 this year in Banjaluka beginning at 2,00 pm. Dodik's proposal has been accepted by all ministers, and as it is said, "the president of the Parliament Dragan Kalinic will be informed about it".

BANJALUKA - The leader of RS Serbian Radicals Nikola Poplasen contested legality and legitimacy of the Republican Government elected in continuation of the session of NSRS in Bijeljina without the presence of the representatives of Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) and Serbian Radical Party (SRS). Poplasen said to reporters that the last session of NS has been interrupted after fifteen hours' discussion on the proposal for election of a president of the new government, and that this item on an agenda has not been suspended, but it has been concluded that discussion on it should have been continued in few days at a new session of the Assembly.

BANJALUKA - The Deputy High International Representative for B&H Hans Schumacher had confirmed in Banjaluka for German Press Agency (DPA) that for the time being there were no signs of obstruction of the transfer of power from the previous to new RS Government. Schumacher claims that during the transfer of power the representatives of the previous Government, among them also the previous prime-minister Gojko Klickovic, "appeared to be completely cooperative".

BELGRADE - The president of the Government of FR Yugoslavia (FRY) Radoje Kontic forwarded the warmest congratulations to the new members of the RS Government and to its' president Milorad Dodik. "Wishing You and the Government a lot of success in work for benefit of RS and its' citizens, I am expressing willingness of the Federal Government to take part in further development of relationships between FRY and RS, in accordance to the Dayton Agreement and Agreement on Special Parallel Relationship - said Kontic.

BELGRADE - The president of the Government of Serbia Mirko Marjanovic forwarded a greeting card to Milorad Dodik on the occasion of election for RS prime-minister. "I wish that You successfully and in interest of all citizens fulfil Your duties and assignments, first of all to consistently carry out the Dayton Agreement, ensuring rapid and complete economic and social development of RS" - is said in the greeting card.

LONDON - The European Union welcomed the election of Milorad Dodik for the new RS Government's president and especially his obligation to " observe and carry through the Dayton Agreement". In the statement of Presidency of European Council issued in London it is said that European Union expects from Dodik "close cooperation on the realisation of the Dayton Agreement".

GENEVA - The Swiss newspapers "Tribune de Geneves" and "Courrier" see in the election of Milorad Dodik for RS primeminister " fruits of the Western interventionism in the region of former Yugoslavia". With election of Dodik the RS president Biljana Plavsic has conquered her opponents and with help of the international community and Muslim representatives exiled them form the Government" - is said in the newspaper from Lausanne "Nouveau Quotidienne".

BELGRADE - The president of Parliamentary National Party Slobodan Raketic assessed that with the election of Milorad Dodik for the president of RS Government "the Dayton Agreement has been violated, and the state divided into two parts, as well as the Assembly and the people". "The international community has once more imposed with ultimatum on Serbian people in RS its' stances and solutions for current political crisis", said Raketic in a statement for media.

RUDO - In the region of Rudo Municipality has been recorded increased movement of armoured SFOR vehicles. Patrols of SFOR, in column of seven to eight vehicles, have been recorded in the part of the road Brodari-The Bridge on the Drina-Mrsovo.

HAGUE - The defence attorney of the accused Serb Slavko Dokmanovic Toma Fila announced in Hague that he would invite 97 witnesses in order to prove the innocence of his client - reports DPA. He emphasised that 50 witnesses could witness that Dokmanovic, for who the prosecution claims he had participated in the murders of Croats in Vukovar, was in his house on that evening.

SARAJEVO - The new Chief of OSCE mission in B&H an American diplomat Robert Berry arrived in Sarajevo in order to take on a new job, is learned in OSCE, informs AFP. In this position he replaced an American diplomat Robert Frowich, who left the position of OSCE chief in December of 1997.

BRUSSELS - The former commander of UN forces in B&H a Belgium General Francis Briquemont thinks that the West in the beginning of 1990's has shown its' incapability to stop the war in this Yugoslavia Republic. "The European Community appeared to be incapable to solve that crisis" - assesses retired General Briquemont, accusing political authorities for sending "Blue Angels" to B&H without previously worked out mission.

SARAJEVO - In Croatian part of Stolac Municipality two female Muslim have been beaten, who were in visit to their prewar homes from which they were expelled in 1992 - reported a Muslim radio in Sarajevo. According to the same source, with this act a step back has been made, in regard to the pilot project for return of hundred Muslim refugees to this city, which was signed by the Croatian president Franjo Tudjman and Muslim leader Alija Izetbegovic in Dayton.
