NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SAMAC - The premier of Republika Srpska /RS/ Milorad Dodik emphasised in Samac that the priority tasks of the new government are the start-up of production and providing free basic health care for disabled persons and families of fallen soldiers of RS Army. Dodik met in Samac with representatives of municipal assembly and directors of some state enterprises in order to get acquaint with current situation in economy and social superstructure of this municipality.

BIJELJINA - The Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ respect the existence of the new government of RS, but will never recognise its legitimacy - stated the presiding of Presidency of SDS Aleksa Buha after the meeting of the top party leadership in Bijeljina. According to him, the Presidency of SDS concluded that to this party "the authority is literally grabbed away and that the electoral results were not respected", and that the party will in the next period work on its reorganisation and renewal. The presidency of this party concluded that "the real 'cutting' of directors occurred in the state enterprises" which will, according to Buha surely make damages in the economic development of RS.

ZVORNIK - The municipal Board /OO/ of SDS Zvornik will send a proposal to the Presidency and main Board /GO/ of the party to announce the party elections on all levels and require the responsibility of the party officials - from the leadership of municipal boards to Presidency and GO of the party. The president of OO SDS and delegate in the National Assembly of RS Stevo Radic assessed after the session of OO SDS that the greatest responsibility for the current situation in the party bears its leadership, and the party's leadership of Zvornik can not be exempted". "Having in mind the fact that the new government was recognised by all international factors and FR Yugoslavia, OO SDS of Zvornik thinks that to the Government must be recognised legitimacy without regard on procedural shortcomings", stressed Radic.

SRBINJE - The president of OO Serbian Radical Party /SRS/ of Srbinje and delegate in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Zoran Nikolic expects that the next session will pass without problems, and that his party and he will act as opposition. According to him, the regular party elections are underway and will be finished on February 10, after what will be convened the Assembly f the municipal organisation.

BANJA LUKA - The president of the Democratic Patriotic Party of Republika Srpska /DPS RS/ Predrag Radic called upon all delegates of National assembly of RS to enable at the next session dignified taking oath to the newly elected government. "I expect that the act of taking over the duties between the previous and old government will be done in dignified way" - stressed Radic at the press conference in Banja Luka. He expressed the hope that SDS and radicals, whom he deems most responsible for missed opportunity to form the government of national unity, will behave as the constructive opposition in Assembly of RS and in that way return the lost confidence of its voters.

BANJA LUKA - The British Department for international financial development /DFID/ and SFOR announced few new projects for economic rehabilitation of citizens and enterprises in RS and Federation B&H /FB&H/, announced the multi-national forces. In the announcement is stated that to the un-named poultry farm from Sipovo was allocated the credit amounting 7,600 DEM for acquiring aggregates and fans for fostering 500 chickens and employment for two new workers.

DOBOJ - The Egyptian who was driving the vehicle of UN yesterday in the vicinity of Modrica killed Cedo Milanovic /62/ from Doboj - announced in Doboj the spokesman of International Police Forces /IPTF/ Andre Agnelli not saying details and circumstances under which the accident occurred. Agnelli added that in the UN vehicle was one another person, which, as he said, could be a key witness in clarifying the case.

VUKOVAR - The president of Serbian National Council Milorad Pupovac stated in Vukovar, on the occasion of publishing the Decree of the Croatian Government about hiring apartments in Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srem. that this act has discriminatory character. Pupovac said to journalists that this Decree do not guarantee equal rights for all citizens and announced the submission of Constitutional suit if this document would be applied without delay.

PRISTINA - The Albanian terrorists succeeded to break the traffic link between Klina and Srbica, so on this relation are moving only the citizens of the village Drenice, who are acquainted with the situation in the field. According to the testimony of motorised passengers, in the woods around the road Srbica-Rudnik- Istok are parked the vehicles of terrorists from so called "Liberation Army of Kosovo", charged for "traffic control".
