NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - From this morning on the whole territory of Republika Srpska /RS/ and Federation B&H in circulation is the official currency of B&H convertible mark /KM/ - was confirmed for SRNA in the Office of the Central Bank B&H /CBB&H/ in Pale. In circulation so far will not be put only 1 KM denomination for RS because of error in letter in the name of Ivo Andric, while other disputable denominations /5 KM and 10 KM for RS/ besides the errors are in circulation.

NIS - His Holy Highness bishop Rasko-Prizrenski Mr. Artemije thinks that no any problem of Serbian people cannot be solved without changing the whole system. While talking at the late last night finished promotion "Alliance for changes Milan Panic" in Nis the bishop Artemije assessed that in Kosovo is the same scenario for events as it was in RS.

BANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic stressed in Banja Luka at the arrival after ten days stay in Greece that Athens is interested for holding peace in these areas especially in time marked with difficult times in Kosmet. After coming at Banja Luka airport Mahovljani Mrs. Plavsic stressed that the leadership of Greece is interested to assist economic recovery of RS and that talks lead with Greek politicians were useful and successful.

VIENNA - The delegation of RS Government, lead by the vicepremier Ostoja Kremenovic, appealed on the citizens on provisional work in Austria to register in order to be eligible to vote at September's elections, since the voting is the patriotic act and their citizens duty and right", stressed Kremenovic in the last night's talks with the members of the Serbian clubs "Nikola Tesla" in Vienna, which collected the greatest number of RS citizens at the provisional work in Austria.

BRCKO - In the region of the municipality Brcko in RS so far has returned 1, 041 Moslem and 18 Croatian families with 5,000 members, while in the parts of the town in Federation B&H /FB&H/ did not arrive no one Serb, is stated in the report of the Office of supervisor forwarded to SRNA. In the report is stated precisely that the family is considered as being settled if one of its members spend at least one night in renown house.

BELGRADE - In Big Hall of Sava Centre in Belgrade, tomorrow at 18,00 h will be held non-party gathering "Development of B&H" at which will be talked about actual problems in RS and FB&H, return of refugees and impending September's elections. At the gathering which organiser is the Coalition "Concordance", will participate the premier Milorad Dodik and president of Socialistic Party of RS Zivko Radisic.

DOBOJ - The command of the 304th infantry brigade of RS Army /VRS/ on Ozren has again called upon citizens to deliver the rest of heavy weapons until the June 2, ammunition and mines and explosives at the previously determined locations. In the announcement of the 304th infantry brigade is stated that with the command of the Swedish and Danish battalion of SFOR was agreed that until the end of the week do not undertake any activity on collecting arms on Ozren.

BRCKO - In Brcko has commenced the meeting of the economic delegations of RS, Serbia, Montenegro and FR Yugoslavia, at which will be exchanged the opinions about the possibilities of development of economic cooperation and connecting enterprises from these areas. The delegations are lead by the representatives of economic chambers of RS Bozidar Antic, FRY Mihajlo Milojevic and Serbia Momir Pavlicevic and vice-president of Economic chamber of Montenegro Ljubo Roncevic.

PRISTINA - Six Albanian terrorists at 9,15 h kidnapped Dragan Vukmirovic, Zoran Andjancic and Filip Gojkovic, workers of the Coal Mine Velacevac, announced for SRNA the representatives of the municipal authorities in Kosovo Polje. The kidnappers had stopped the car with workers on the road in the village Grabovac, municipality Kosovo Polje. With kidnapped workers were also two Albanian workers who were allowed to go home.

PRISTINA - All Serbian and Montenegrian families which fled in last several days from Pec villages Barane, Vranovac, Kotradic, Rosuqe, Turjak and Bucane because of every day attacks of Albanian terrorists against citizens and members of police of Serbia - was announced for SRNA by the representatives of the municipal authorities in Pec. Ten more members families Bozovic, Sajcic, Cavnic, Radovanovic, Premovic and Cvetkovic have left their households and homes, which Albanian terrorists has looted and majority burned.

PRISTINA - The deputy minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Nikolaj Afanasijevski stated in Pristina that Army of Yugoslavia cannot withdraw from Kosovo and Metohija until in these regions exist terrorism. Afanasijevski, who talked with the leaders of Albanian political parties more than two and a half hours, has announced for journalists that it is necessary that all roads on Kosmet be passable and that free communication between people is secured.

BANJA LUKA - The vice-president of Republika Srpska /RS/ and rector of university Banja Luka Dragoljub Mirjanic talked today in Banja Luka with the director of "Tempos programme for B&H Stephen Dudianjiev and Peter Ecktor from the Foundation for high education on reconstruction of university in RS and Federation B&H. "We have concluded that until now were realised very successful cooperation on tempos projects in which was included Banja Luka University, for which reconstruction they are of extraordinary importance" - stated Mirjanic after the meeting.

BRCKO - By adopting the joint statement, in which is stressed the contentment with the previous economic cooperation, and expressed the commitment for more, overall and universal cooperation, in Brcko was finished the meeting of economic delegations of RS and FR Yugoslavia /FRY/. "Greater production successes and economic cooperation are serious tasks towards citizens of RS and FRY who expect much better cooperation and successes and faster elimination of stoppage, jamming and sanctions. The economies of RS and FRY can and we expect that they will reach more", is stressed in the joint statement issued after the meeting.

SRBINJE - Municipal assembly /SO/ of Srbinje has adopted the proposal of the Club of delegates of Serbian Democratic Party by which is most vigorously condemned brutal and inappropriate way of arresting Milorad Krnojelac who is allegedly on the sealed indictment of Hague's Tribunal. The municipal parliament demands from the members of international organisations to "respect Constitution and laws of RS and customs of Serbian people on what they are obliged by the Dayton Agreement". The delegates of SO appealed at all citizens of Srbinje to restrain from imprudent acts and eventual provocations towards members of international organisations and their property.

BANJA LUKA - The presidency of Syndicate Union in RS in Banja Luka have taken the stance that the Draft law on privatisation should not be adopted urgently, but to be sent into the regular procedure, in which it would pass through the public discussion. At the meeting, presided by the president of Syndicate Union of RS Cedo Volas, was concluded that the Draft Law on privatisation was unclear and not incomplete and that it did not enable syndicate to participate in it as the social partner. It was assessed that, in accordance with the Resolution on privatisation, in the means of payment in the procedure of privatisation should obligatorily be encountered arrears for workers and this stance should be incorporated into the Article 15. of the proposed law.

BELGRADE - The coordinator of the OSCE Office in Belgrade Zivota de Luka stated for SRNA that in last two weeks was noticed better turnout of refugees for registration for next general elections in B&H. De Luka said that until June 20. in the territory of FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ was registered 26,000 of voters and that in Serbia was better turnout than in Montenegro, because in that republic was accommodated more refugees.

BELGRADE - The association for providing assistance to refugees and expelled persons in FRY has sent the appeal to all refugees from B&H to register themselves for next general elections in order to realise their rights which they have by the Dayton Agreement. At the press conference in Belgrade, the member of the Association Vojo Sljivar has said that it is the interest of refugees to participate actively on September's elections in RS and Federation B&H. "Our task is to demand through the offices of OSCE and UNHCR the extension of deadline for registering until July 15", stressed Sljivar.

VIENNA - The delegation of Repblika Srpska /RS/ headed with the vice- president Ostoja Kremenovic has agreed the way of communication with the Centre for registration of voters in Vienna, which involves forming the team for monitoring the work of the Centre and assistance to citizens in getting confidence in process of elections. The governmental delegation has talked in Vienna with the chief of OSCE's Centre for registration Antonio Tzarikisabout registration of voters for impending general elections in B&H - has confirmed Kremenovic for SRNA. He added that the delegation of Government has proposed to OSCE to publish the form for registering voters in absentia, i.e. by mail, on the daily basis in news and evening news until the deadline June 28.

BRCKO - The minister of trade of RS Nikola Kragulj has assessed as very successful the meeting of the economists of RS and FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ in Brcko, at which, according to his words, was expressed the commitment for better and versatile cooperation of economies of two states. According to him, "the frameworks for economic cooperation of RS and FRY has enough; it is necessary only to conduct the administrative de-monopolisation and maximally liberalise the economic courses, but also work on the measures of legalisation, in order to avoid undesirable courses, i.e. black economy".

BIJELJINA - The supervisor for inter-entity demarcation line in the region of Brcko Robert Farrand has talked in Bijeljina with the president of municipal assembly Bijeljina Dragomir Savic, who warned that in this municipality is necessary material-financial assistance of international community for solving infrastructure problems. Savic has stressed that this municipality has 22,000 inhabitants more than before the war and that in Bijeljina is the great unemployment rate, as well as that there exist great infrastructure problems, especially of sewage and water supplying.

BANJA LUKA - In Banja Luka has commenced with work the permanent office of Social-democratic Party /SDP/ of B&H, for which first chief was nominated Velimir Cvijic - confirmed at the press conference in Banja Luka the president of the party Zlatko Lagumdzija. He has announced forming the wider political block for parties of similar political profiles, about what the public will be informed at latest until June 27.

SARAJEVO - The Sarajevo county organisation of Croatian Democratic Community /HDZ/ of B&H has demanded the intervention of the High Representative Carlos Westendorp in order to prevent implementing the statute of the city of Sarajevo, proclaimed recently by the Party of democratic Action /SDA/ - reports the Croatian radio Herceg-Bosna. The content of the Statute is contrary to the proposal agreed between the representatives of the Croatian and Moslem people - is stressed by the HDZ of B&H.

MOSTAR - The deputy mayor of Mostar Ivan Prskalo has accused the mayor Safet Orucevic for preventing the return of refugees in eastern part of Mostar, the part of the city under the Moslem control, and division of the city after another attempt of return. Prskalo has presented this accusation after unsuccessful meeting of local officials with the administrator of EU in Mostar Martin Gerrod, whom he has accused for favouring the Moslem party in Mostar.

BILECA - In the organisation of General Staff of Army of RS and under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence in Bileca will, from June 23-26 be held the Second sport championship of VRS. On the venues of the military barracks "Bilecki borci" the best athletes-soldiers will compete in military all-around competition, shooting, volleyball and handball, and the right to attend this competition they have won on the competitions of the corpse.
