He apologised to the RS citizens stressing that mistake is made by the printing firm and not the Ministry. "The B&H Foreign Affairs Ministry asked on several occasions from the Ministry of Civil Affairs and Communications for a process of passports issuing to be concluded", said Bozanic.PRIJEDOR - It is not certain whether mortal remains of dr.Milan Kovacevic will be delivered to Prijedor because of problems related to a procedure set by the Hague Tribunal - confirmed for SRNA the Organizational Board for Funereal, adding that the Tribunal is now asking for a Kovacevic's passport in order for body to be transferred out of the country. If mortal remains of dr.Kovacevic arrive today in Prijedor a funereal will be held at 3:00p.m. at a grave yard in Bozici. TESLIC - Gradimir Kragic from Teslic, who was leading the RS Esperantists to Montpellier, France, with the new B&H passports has been deported from the Hungarian border back to RS. Media attention made about this case is a sort of satisfaction for a humiliation we went through at the Hungarian border, Kragic stated for SRNA. "We were being treated as people who tried to cross illegally the border crossing although our passports were in order", said Kragic. PRIJEDOR - The President in the B&H Presidency from RS and a Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) vice-president, Momcilo Krajisnik, said in Prijedor that a goal of the SDS was a state of RS which is the highest that one nation can achieve".According to him the SDS had always flexible position, it achieved to remove sanctions, to form the Presidency and joint institutions in B&H, to introduce freedom of movement and and to achieve fully implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord. SREBRENICA - 380 miners employed at a lead and zinc mine Sase near Srebrenica went on a general strike on 4 August - stated for SRNA Rado Cvjetinovic, President of the Mine Trade Union organisation. He stressed that miner would not start with work until their requests, regarding salaries and a recourse, are fulfilled. CETINJE - With a requiem and a promotion of a book "Izgon" last night in a Metropolitan's residence in Cetinje was marked third anniversary since the Croatian aggression on the Republika Srpska Krajina (RSK) in August in 1995. The requiem was served by a metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Coast and bishop Atanasije of Zahum-Hercegovina. DOBOJ - A Serb, Slavko Bozic, has been beaten up in the village of Sockovac on Ozren by Safet Catovic, president of the Puracic local community near Lukavac, in FB&H. Bozic used to live there before the war. He informed about the incident the IPTF station in Doboj. "When he saw me he stepped out of his house and literally had beaten me up and was swearing at me" - said Bozic in an application for the IPTF adding that he came to Puracic in order to register his property. SARAJEVO - Since 23 July 133 citizens applied for new passports at the central police station in Srpska Ilidza, said in Srpsko Sarajevo, Stojanka Bojovic, a head of a administrativelegal affairs department at this station. TUZLA - The UN Special Representative for Human Rights, Elizabeth Rehn, will visit Tuzla where she will have talks with representatives of the city and canton authorities about recent assignment of the city of Tuzla into the open cities project - stated the UN representatives in the city. Tuzla remains a leading destination for refugees deported from Germany. AUG. 5, 1998 EVENINGNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKABANJALUKA - The President of Republika Srpska (RS), Biljana Plavsic, and the OSCE chief of mission in B&H and chairman of the Provisional Election Commission, Robert Barry, agreed in Banjaluka that the "forthcoming elections will be opportunity for political leaders to become responsible for what was happening in the last two years". They reached an agreement on importance of these elections and importance for voters to vote in the forthcoming elections", said Barry.BANJALUKA - The President of the RS Labour Union, Cedo Volas, warned that the Syndicate will call membership on a strike if the Government continues with irregularities during nomination of steering and supervisory boards and directors in some enterprises. Appointments without participation of the Labour Union are not in accordance with the General Collective Contract and item 8. of the Protocol, signed by the RS Government and the Labour Union. According to that Protocol the Government is due to respect an Article 59. of the General Collective Agreement according to which a member of the steering and supervisory board is elected by the Labour Union itself. SARAJEVO - OHR has been informed that the Ministry of Civil Affairs and Communications in the B&H Council of Ministers, which was authorised for printing of passports, did not deliver new forms to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, but they do not have any information why the mistake was made - stated for SRNA spokeswoman for OHR, Aleksandra Sigmajer. Consequence of this mistake is an unpleasant event on the Hungarian border crossing when a group of the RS citizens had been deported from the border. Foreign Affairs Ministry should, through the embassies in B&H, or in any other way, inform relevant institutions about new looks of the passports. MAGLAJ - The pre-war inhabitants of the Maglaj municipality, currently in Doboj, Modrica and other RS cities forwarded a protest letter to the international officials in B&H accusing the Federation authorities in Maglaj that have been preventing their return to Maglaj. In the statement given to SRNA is stressed that in RS especially in Doboj live few thousands Serbian refugees from Maglaj to whom the Federation Government " does not allow to return to their previous places of residence". DJAKOVICA - Albanian terrorists were opening the fire on the Serbian security forces near Ramoc the biggest village in the region of the Djakovica Municipality - SRNA has learned from representatives of the local authorities in Djakovica. Among terrorists there were casualties. PRISTINA - A work coordinator of the state institutions in Kosmet, Andreja Milosavljevic, had talks with German and Austrian Ambassadors to Belgrade, Wilfred Gruber and Wolfgang Petric. During talks , Milosavljevic insisted on a more significant engagement of the humanitarian organisations in order for missing and kidnapped persons, Serbs and Albanians, and others who were kept in captivity by Albanian terrorists to be released. That is a major problem and humanitarian organisations must put greater effort in solving of that problem, said Milosavljevic according to the Province Secretariat on Information. VIENNA - Vienna daily "Presse" issued a report written by a journalist, Erich Ratfleder, about alleged "two mass graves near Orahovac in which, according to unnamed witnesses , there are thousands of corpses, mostly women and children". However, Ratfelder denied himself in a statement for Austrian state radio, stressing that during his visit to Orahovac near one dumping place he smelt a horrible smell, which according to him could belong only to the corps. Austrian Foreign Affairs Minister, Wolfgang Schuessel, expressed concern with this information about alleged mass graves near Orahovac in Kosovo and Metohija, adding that Austria, as the EU chairman, has ordered to the EU observing mission to investigate the case. VIENNA - Austrian Foreign Affairs Minister, Wolfgang Schuessel is against the NATO military air intervention in Kosovo and Metohija. "Air intervention can only in certain situations contribute for the crisis to be solved, but it will have no effect in Kosmet" - stated Austrian Foreign Affairs Minister in an interview with German daily "Woxe", conveys Austrian news agency APA. PRNJAVOR - The President of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) Presidency, Dragan Kalinic, said in Prnjavor that SDS prepared in a best way to respond on current challenges and with respecting the OSCE rules to point out to the people why in the elections in September they must vote for Serbian patriotic forces. At a press-conference in Prnjavor he said that "it became obvious that no one representes a concept of a truly Serbian state any more" and there are clear evidences that striving for an unitary B&H is taking place, the same B&H why the war began." ZVORNIK - The President of the Electoral headquarters of the Serbian People's Union (SNS), Stevo Savic, said in Zvornik that SNS supported legality and constitutionality. At a pressconference of the SNS Municipal Board he said that SNS was against the decision of the RS Government to relieve from duty a director of the Public Informative and publishing firm, Srpski glas from Zvornik, because its founder was a Municipality. PRISTINA - A group of Albanian terrorists have been attacking a police check point near the village of Sadovina in the Kosovska Vitina Municipality, last night at about 1:30a.m. - SRNA has learned from the local authorities in that Municipality. The police responded on the fire after which terrorist run away. PRISTINA - The EU mission stated that they did not find mass graves in Orahovac in Kosmet - DPA reports. Spokesman for the EU mission, an Austrian Walter Ebennerger, said for DPA that during their first control they found only 10 individual graves with names on it and not even local people confirmed existence of mass graves. PRISTINA - From an aeroplane of the Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) a leaflet was thrown on Kosmet by which the MUP calls on all ethnic Albanians to return to their homes with guarantees that they will be safe. "The Government of Serbia knows the difference between our citizens Albanians and terrorists. Every citizen wants peace in Kosmet" - is said in a leaflet. PRISTINA - The FRY Defence Minister, Pavle Bulatovic, said in Djakovica that attempts of secession of Kosmet were useless. "Terrorism in these regions can only bring bad times for Albanian minority but also to Serbs and Montenegrins.
