[04] "The Getting out of the Sovernment of the Democratic Party Ministers Doesn't Mean a Breaking up of the Coalition" - Declares the President of the National Liberal Party

"The decision of getting out of the Government of a group of ministers belonging to the Democratic Party is regrettable, but it is a decision which must be taken into consideration. This getting out of the DP ministers doesn't mean the breaking up of the Coalition, on the contrary, we think that there is a possibility of finding some actions in order to keep the unity of the Coalition; more than that, some actions destined to offer a parliamentary support to a government which becomes a minority, from the point of view of the political composition" said the National Liberal Party President, Mircea Ionescu Quintus in an interview for ROMANIA RADIO NEWS. The Liberal President thinks that the DP ministers' adhering to a censorship motion "seems to be impossible", such a position could appear only in the case of "definitive and irreparable brSaking off". On January 24th, there are 139 years since the union of the Romanian historical provinces of Moldavia and Wallachia. Until their union in 1859, with the Western powers'consent, the two provinces had a principality status, being subject to the political influences of the Ottoman Empire-in Wallachia and to the Tzarist Empire in Moldavia. On December 1st 1918, the Romanian unitary nation state was created through the union of Romania with the historical province of Transylvania, which until the end of World War I was under the domination of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Upon this anniversary, in Bucharest, the Romanian President Emil Constantinescu has conveyed a message to the nation.
