BANJALUKA - The Republika Srpska (RS) National Assembly president
Momcilo Krajisnik, stated that a proposal of a referen dum on support
of thee RS leadership and its policy is a "test and an offer to the
international community, desiring "to involve in many state affairs,
beyond its Dayton authorisations". In an interview for tomorrow's
edition of the Banjaluka's paper "Glas Srpski", Krajisnik confirmed that
the high representative of the international community Carl Bildt and
his assistants will be notified of the possibility of referendum. "As a
response, we were informed of his opinion that something like this might
be understood as a blow to the Dayton agreement", stated the presi dent
of the RS National Assembly, adding that "RR policy, pre sented to the
international community, is in accord with the Dayton agreement".
BRCKO - The RS prime minister, Gojko Klickovic paid his first official
visit to Brcko, where discussed the problem of the arbitrage over Brcko
with city officials. "The arbitrage can decide only of wideness of the
corridor linking the eastern with western parts of the country",
stressed Klickovic.
BANJALUKA - Only things under my authorisations were dis cussed at my
meeting with U.S. representatives, stated the Banja luka mayor, Predrag
Radic. He explained that the discussion with the U.S. ambassador John
Menszies, the coordinator for the peace process in the former B-h
William Montgomery, and US delegation for the international development,
concerned only preparations for the upcoming elections, particularly in
the Banjaluka re gion.
BANJALUKA - The coordinator for the peace process in the former B-h
William Montgomery stated that the aim of the US delegation visiting
Banjaluka was to review the preelection situation, as well as to review
the conditions for the economic aiding RS. "The U.S.A. wants to help the
economic reconstruction of all parts of Bosnia, and to provide aid for
all peoples exist ing there", stated Montgomery at a press conference.
BANJALUKA - The chief of the ICRC delegation for RS, Pierre Crenbil,
stated that the priority task of this humanitarian organisation in the
coming period will be searching for persons missing during the civil war
in the former B-H. At a press con ference in Banjaluka, Crenbil
explained that the ICRC received about 10,000 demands from RS and the
CroatMuslim Federation in from relatives of missing persons, asking for
information about their missing ones. /end/
