BANJALUKA - The minister of finance of Republika Srpska (RS) Novak Kondic, talked in Banjaluka with Brown Scot, the Intena tional Monetary Fund (IMF)director for Eastern Europe about the RS fiscal system and monetary policy. Kondic stated that RS will continue its contacts with the IMF in which the expert matters will be considered in sections.

PRIJEDOR - Prijedor Municipality representatives talked with IFOR ground forces commander general Michael Walker on economic and political issues. General Walker stated that "a discussion of a series of questions was opened, and will require further talks and agreements between Prijedor Municipality and IFOR".

SRPSKI BROD - The international Police (IPTF) representa tives and the Srpski Brod Public Security Centre talked on forma tion of the joint patrols thought the area. ITPF members were agreed to will patrol together with Serb police and to take part in resolving possible disputes.

RIBNIK - The Kljuc mayor, Jovo Banjac, convened the session of the city assembly for May 1, the first one since the Serb populace was expelled in September last year. Banjac explained that parts of once municipalities of Kljuc, Petrovac and Drvar, which were returned to RS by the Dayton agreement, will be incor porated into RS, and will form the municipality of Ribnik, with base in Gornji Ribnik.

THESALONIKI - It is quite clear that none of NATO members does want to risk achievements made in the former B-H by replace ment of RS military and political leadership, concludes the Greek paper "Katimerini". Due to a series of reasons, Milosevic wants to politically destroy the RS president Radovan Karadzic, but not to turn him over to the Hague Tribunal, concludes the paper.

NOVI SAD - Following the visit to Radoslav Kremenovic in the Novi Sad District Prison, his attorneys Veljko Guberina, Radonja Bulatovic and Nenad Vuksanovic announced a request for his re lease before June 3 deadline. "In he Hague our client was a witness, and his testimony was correct and fair, without any contradiction", stated Veljko Guberina, at a press conference.

SARAJEVO - The OSCE announced in Sarajevo that the registra tion of voters into voters lists will last from June 3 to July 19. It said that the registration into electoral lists could start on June 3 in those city administrations where local commissions exist.

ZAGREB - The Croatian branch of the Helsinki Committee for observance of human rights pointed out in Zagreb that "the violence continues against the Serbs in Croatia". "Hundreds of Serbs, especially elders, are exposed to thee roughest mistreat ment", stated the Committee official Dragutin Hlad at a press conference.

VUKOVAR - The City Assembly of Vukovar proposed to the Croatian authorities to officially declare the status of autonomy for the Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srem District. The authors of the plan demand the right for separate parliament and government, flag, coat of arms, anthem and the right of populace to their regional citizenship.

ZAGREB - The Croatian president Franjo Tudjman confirmed he dismissed demands of the international community that Croatia bring a new law which would mean the general amnesty for the Serbs. Tudjman emphasised that the representatives of the Contact Group and EU reiterated their demand, and assessed that "they still want to set conditions to Croatia and to suborder it to their own, even conflicting, interests". /end/
