MRKONJIC - GRAD - The vicepresident and acting president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic talked in MrkonjicGrad with the representatives of municipal authorities, war partici pants and economists about the current problems with which the domestic inhabitants deals with after returning from the five month exile. Ms Plavsic acquainted the hosts about the plans and attempts of RS leadership give the priority to this region, which was after the withdrawal of Croatian army completely destroyed and looted, for reconstruction and renewal. While talking about the impending elections, the vicepresident and acting president of Republika Srpska emphasised the need for preelectoral and electoral campaign to be held in civilised and democratic atmos phere, and sent appeal to the representatives of all parties to stop the labelling of individuals from rival parties, if they don't have reliable evidence for that.

SARAJEVO - The chairman of the Provisional Electoral Commis sion /PEC/ Robert Frowick decided to prolong the deadline for registration of voters abroad until the Thursday, august 8, midnight - it is said in the announcement of the OSCE Office in Sokolac forwarded to SRNA today.

ZVORNIK - The Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ has positive attitude towards the political parties, especially towards the parties of the national orientation - stated the president of the Municipal Board of SDS in Zvornik Stevo Radic in an interview for the new issue of the local monthly "Srpski glas". The require ments of nonparliamentary political parties at the region of the zvornik municipality for equal treatment at the local media Radic assessed as grounded, and added that the proposal is sent to the Ministry of Information in the RS Government to enable these parties to participate in the local media, so to have the equal treatment as the ruling party.

SOKOLAC - The members of the Italian brigade of IFOR under the command of colonel Lobs, forcibly entered the military stor age in the village Margetici near Sokolac and completely looted it, which resulted in reaction of the citizens of Sokolac, which, by their bodies, cars and all they had, prevented them to go and forced them to return what they seized. The serious clash between the 4-5 thousands of the citizens of Sokolac and Italian soldiers was prevented.

BRCKO - The chief if police station in Brcko, Andrija Bjelo sevic, stated that yesterday in Brcko wasn't mounted the bomb,during the meeting of the Assotiation for Peace and Progres, like the media in Belgrade reported, but the bomb with the tear gas. "After we have been informed, at 9,30 h, we immediately sent a patrol at the site where also went the Prosecutor Dragan Mihaj lovic and found the bomb with tear gas" - precisely stated Bjelo sevic.

BRATUNAC - The president of the Serbian Radical Party /SRS/ Vojislav Seselj stated that the international pressures against Republika Srpska /RS/ will start to yield only if at the Septem ber's elections win the patriotic parties. On the local Radio Bratunac Seselj called all 20.000 of refugees eligible to vote, which are accommodated in FR Yugoslavia, to come on elections and help in survival of Republika Srpska. He warned that the only guaranty that the votes will not be counterfeited is if they come at the polling sites in Republika Srpska and cast their ballots there.
