NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - RS minister for refuges and displaced persons, Ljubisa Vladusic, talked in Pale with Chavdar Petkov, the director of the OSCE's Regional Office at Sokolac, about the problems concerning the refugee housing in RS.

DOBOJ - The decision made at a meeting in Doboj by representatives of the international organisations on settling 50 Muslim families at Svjetlica, might provoke additional incidents, for besides the aborigine Serbs there are a great number of Serb refugees, mainly from Sarajevo, in this suburban area of Doboj. The Muslim request for settling in Svjetlica was taken into consideration by representatives of the UNHCR, High Representative's Office, IPTF and IFOR.

DOBOJ - Representatives of the Muslim Commission for Exchange of POW refused to, together with the Serb Commission, search the ground on the Ozren-Vozuca area where mass graves with killed Serbs are.

MOSTAR - Vice-president of the Croat-Muslim Federation Ejup Ganic, and the assistant High Representative for Dayton B&H, Michael Steiner, talked in Mostar with Martin Garrod, the EU envoy, about the aggravation of security situation in the city. Ganic and Steiner came to Mostar, following Garrod's letter sent to the Presidency of the Federation of B&H wherein expressing his concern for the security, human rights and the return of refugees to the city.

MOSTAR - The assistant to the high international representative in Dayton B&H, Michael Steiner, criticised in Mostar the continued expulsion of Muslims from the Croatian part of this divided city. "This is being done by forces wishing to prevent the return of refugees within the Federation. This is a clear message about the impossibility for return and we can not tolerate this", said Steiner.

WASHINGTON - Washington is not going to support Croatia's candidacy for joining the NATO's Partnership for Peace programme all until an improvement in handing over the suspects of war crimes is achieved, stated US Defence Secretary, William Perry. This morning, Perry talked in Pentagon with his Croatian colleague Gojko Susak, about the implementation of the Dayton agreement.

WASHINGTON - Croatian defence minister Gojko Susak, stated in Washington that the working conditions for Croatian representatives in the joint governing bodies of Dayton B&H and the Croat-Muslim Federation have yet to be created, reports the Croatian TV.
