SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of the Dayton B&H, Momcilo Krajisnik, met with the charge d'affaires of the US Embassy in Sarajevo, Michael Parmly, in Pale. As Krajisnik's spokeswoman, Mirjana Kusmuk, wrote in a communique, Mr. Parmly wished a happy New Year to president Krajisnik in the name of US President Bill Clinton and his wife Hilary.

BELGRADE - The former counsellor for national security of US President Richard Nickson, and the winner of Nobel prize for peace, Henry Kissinger, warned international community that instead of unfounded endeavours for the united B&H it should enable the Serbs, Croats and Muslims to make decisions on their own.

BONN - Official Bonn and Paris warned President Slobodan Milosevic that they do not approve his decision to ban peaceful gathering of citizens in Belgrade, reports DPA. "The Serbian president have to understand that the international community will not accept such reaction against peaceful demonstrations", said German minister of foreign affairs, Klaus Kinkel.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced last night that it would intervene in the "cases of the blocking of roads and organising of demonstrations" in the future.

BELGRADE - The gathering of students of Belgrade University have started on the plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, although the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) has banned it. A car with a public- address system, which was parked on the plateau has been displaced after a few minutes in Knez Mihajlova Street where the programme of students' protest is going to take place.

BELGRADE - Thirty nine years old Predrag Starcevic from Belgrade is by now the only victim of street disorders that took place in the capital of Serbia on Tuesday, confirmed Rade Vasilic, the vice-director of the Emergency Centre of the Serbia Clinic Centre.

ATHENS - The Greek state and private TV stations emphasise justified concerns that the parallel demonstrations of two blocks in Belgrade will probably lead to provocations and further crisis in Serbia. A Greek state television correspondent reports that blood was shed on the Belgrade streets, posing a question about the final outcome of clashes between the followers of the "Zajedno" coalition and Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic.

MADRID - The former Spanish prime minister, Felipe Gonzales, is expected to leave tomorrow for Geneva in order to inform the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Flavio Kotti, about the conclusions of his mission on causes of the political crisis in Serbia, was announced in Madrid.

MOSCOW - Defense ministers of the Union of Independent States, former republics of Soviet Union will meet on January 8, in Moscow at the conference on strengthening of military integration, reports DPA.
