BELFAST - The delegation of the RS National Assmelby, led by its president Dragan Kalinic, met with the foreign minister of Northern Ireland, Michael Ankram, in Belfast, in scope of its official visit to Great Britain, reports Serb TV reporter. The RS delegation, comprised of heads of Houses of Representatives, Nikola Poplasen, Vojislav Maksomovic and Dragutin Ilic, met with representatives of the Presbyterian and Roman Catholic Churches, and prominent persons from the Ulster University, as well as with representatives of the Labour Party and Unification Party. During the visits the RS delegation informed its hosts with the determination of RS to follow modern democratic states, which economies are based on private ownership and developed small and mediumsize businesses. The RS delegation pointed out that unfavourable decision for RS of the Brcko issue would mean the extreme destabilisation of the situation in the region.

DOBOJ - The head of the RS Army General Staff, general Pero Colic, stated in Doboj that the Serb Army has no aggressive intentions and that its main purpose is the maintenance of the state and protection of its people.

LOPARE - The RS prime minister, Gojko Klickovic, talked in Lopare with local authorities about the present security situation, accommodation of refugees and reviving of economy and the privatisation process.

BEOGRAD - The president of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), Vojislav Kostunica, assessed that Roberts Owen's decision on the status of Brcko delays a final solution and indicates that this city might become a special district in the Dayton B-H. "The analysers underline two things - that Brcko is not separated from the RS, but that the one-year deadline for decision brights a lot of uncertainty", stated Kostunica at a press conference in Belgrade. He believes that "Brcko must stay in RS, but there will be many games with the issue".

BEOGRAD - The president of the Democratic Party (DS), Zoran Djindjic, is confident that following one-year international supervision, Brcko will remain in RS. "The decision of the Arbitration Commission is a violation of the Dayton agreement and great injustice for RS. I am convinced that within next year the international community would accept the stance that Brcko should remain in RS, which would represent a compliance with the Dayton agreement", explained Djindjic in his interview for Radio- Jagodina.

VUKOVAR - Despite bad weather conditions, 15th national rally under slogan "Justice for All" was held in Vukovar in the city centre. About seven and-a- half thousand residents demonstrated with paroles "We Ask for Human Rights", "This is our land, we will stay here". The president of the Association of Victims of Croatian Terror, Dragoljub Vojinovic, informed demonstrators of telegrams of support in their peaceful demonstrations.

BEOGRAD - The process of reintegration of the Srem-Baranja District into Croatia does not guarantee the Serbs even a minimum of human rights, i.e. the story of Serb Sarajevo repeats", assessed the DSS president, Vojislav Kostunica. He reiterated that the Belgrade regime claimed that the Serbs, according to the Erdut Agreement, are given a political-territorial autonomy, but today "it comes more than obvious that it was deceit". "The essence is that noting has been initialled from Belgrade to make the fate of the Serbs in the District more bearable", stated Kostunica at a press conference in Belgrade.

SARAJEVO - The Franciscan monastery of St. Ante in Sarajevo demanded protection because of frequent stoning of the monastery and church in Bistrik, reports Muslim Radio-Sarajevo. In a communique issued from the Monastery, it was said that yesterday at about 17:300, during a service attended by 144 believers, unknown attackers threw stones at the St. Ante church, on which occasion they damaged windows, and upset the believers.
