SARAJEVO - On the occasion of the wrong interpretation of the circumstances in which the vice-president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Dragoljub Mirjanic signed the Decree on proclamation of the Law on ratification of Agreement on special parallel relations between RS and FR Yugoslavia, the Cabinet of the president of RS issued the announcement in which is said: "According to the Article 80. of the RS Constitution the vice-president of the Republic during the time of president's absence conducts the duties entrusted to him by the president. On the basis of this Article of the Constitution and verbal consent of the RS president the vice-president Mirjanic had signed this Decree.

SARAJEVO - The Presidency of the Serbian Democratic Party of the Serbian States /SDS SZ/ assessed in Pale positively the visit to U.S.A. of the RS governmental delegation headed by its president Gojko Klickivic. While discussing the measures of the RS Government, undertaken for start-up of production, the presidency of SDS SZ also concluded that in practice, the positive effects of signed Agreement on the special parallel relations between RS and FR Yugoslavia are already visible, is stated in the announcement from the meeting.

SARAJEVO - In Pale was held the session of the Main Board of SDS SZ of Montenegro. As stated in the announcement of the director of the Governmental Office of SDS SZ Vlado Vrkes, the members of the Main Board of SDS SZ for Montenegro in the introductory part of the session, with the current political situation in RS acquainted the first vice-president of SDS SZ Aleksa Buha, who stressed that there are the tendencies in the part of the international community to delay the local elections in Brcko for the certain period, what we cannot accept.

SARAJEVO - In Pale was held the literature matinee on the occasion of the compilation of works "The praise for Serbs", in which the eight famous French authors praise Serbs for persistence in truth. Vladimir Volkov, Patrick Beson, Dimitry T. Analis, Milena Nokovic, Frederick Ditour, Tierie Saishan and Gerard Couran made efforts to spread the truth about Serbs throughout the world, and finally get truth about what was happening in these areas. While talking about the book, the vice-president of RS Government for social affairs Velibor Ostojic stressed that 'The praise for Serbs' is the extraordinary achievement which has not only artistic value, but also the expressively ethic dimension".

BANJA LUKA - The Association of Serbs expelled from Croatia, with the seat in Banja Luka, warned that the Croatian government "has deprived the electoral right for 300,000 Serbs, who were, by various methods of pressure and violence were expelled from Croatia". In an opened letter sent to OSCE, to the monitors of U.S. State Department in Vukovar and Parliament of the Council of Europe, the Association states that by this act the Croatia violated the Geneva Convention on Human Rights and Freedoms.

SARAJEVO - The Catholic religious leader pope John Paul II arrived in two- days visit to Sarajevo. At the airport in Sarajevo, along with the great security measures, pope was welcomed by the members of the B&H Presidency Alija Izetbegovic and Kresimir Zubak, the leadership of the Moslem-Croatian federation, members of the diplomatic chorus and representatives of the numerous international organisations in Sarajevo.

SARAJEVO - The spokesman of the Moslem Police Suad Arnautovic announced that the explosive revealed under the bridge on the boulevard of Mesa Selimovic in Sarajevo on the road where pope John Paul II had to pass was set during the night". "The special unit dismantled it and there is no further danger", it is said in the official statement.

SARAJEVO - The radio in the Moslem part of Sarajevo reports that the explosive devices, revealed under the bridge on the main road entering the city, remained from "Serbian aggressors", implicitly accusing the Serbian side for attempt to assassinate the pope. However, the reports of the world agencies and the statement of the UN spokesman Aleksandar Ivanko, talk quite contrary. The mines which were found in Sarajevo few hours before pope's arrival, were connected with the fuse on remote commander - stated Ivanko, stressing that experts of the Federation B&H believe that this explosive device was "planted recently", reports Reuters.
