BANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic assessed that the basic quality of the agreement reached on September 24 in Belgrade is in it that it enables overcoming the current situation and crisis in which is RS. "The agreement obliges us to calm down the situation which caused the uncertainty for people and I appeal on all to wait for parliamentary elections, which would lead us to the peace and prosperity", stressed the president of RS. Ms. Plavsic sees the new parliament as the highest state body in which no party will have the absolute majority, which will, according to her assessment, would enable the government of law, legal economy, but also the representation of all patriotic parties from RS. The president of RS confirmed that the parliamentary elections in Republika Srpska will be held on, but not 15 November 1997, as it was anticipated by the Belgrade's agreement. While talking in the programming of the Serbian television, studio Banja Luka, Ms. Plavsic stressed that only qualitatively new parliament can bring the decision on holding the presidential elections, although she and president In the Presidency of B&H from RS Momcilo Krajisnik agreed that they will go on the checking of credibility.

SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of B&H from RS Momcilo Krajisnik talked two hours in Pale with the deputy High Representative of the international community for civilian affairs Jacques Klein about the Law on citizenship, passports and other aspects of the Dayton Agreement. Expressing the contentment with the constructive dialogue, president Krajisnik added that they talked also about the number of issues which have to clarify the stance of RS in the joint organs. BANJA LUKA - The first official results of the municipal elections in RS and Federation B&H /FB&H/ could be expected on Tuesday, September 30 - confirmed the chief of the Regional Office of OSCE in Banja Luka Fabio Gergolet, noting that until the end of the week will be known all the results. He reminded that the counting of votes was finished on Thursday at 18,00 h, but that all parties, coalitions and independent candidates has the right to submit complaints to the Electoral sub-commission in next 72 hours.

PODGORICA - The presidents of the Governments of RS and Montenegro Gojko Klickovic and Milo Djukanovic talked in Niksic about the cooperation in the area of electro-industry, traffic and telecommunications. According to the announcement of the Republican Secretariat of Montenegro for information, was concluded that there must be created the conditions for continuation of the mutually useful cooperation, which, as stressed, was not interrupted in last years.
