NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of B&H from Republika Srpska /RS/ Momcilo Krajisnik informed in Pale the Ambassador of Czech Republic in Sarajevo Ondrei Havlin about the process of privatisation in RS, especially in the part which is similar to the Czech's model. "We also talked about the various aspects of implementation of the civilian part of Dayton agreement", said Krajisnik's counsellor Jovan Zametica.

BANJA LUKA - The president of Government of Republika Srpska for the relations with foreign states and presiding of the Presidency of Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ Aleksa Buha accused in Banja Luka the president of RS Biljana Plavsic as the main culprit for the dangerous double ruling which could have catastrophic consequences for RS. At the promotional tribune of the Municipal Board of SDS Banja Luka Buha stressed that president Plavsic is directly responsible for accepting the OSCE rules for parliamentary elections, according to which 310 thousands of Croats and Moslems was enfranchised abroad.

BRATUNAC - The minister for Refugees and displaced persons in the Government of RS Slobodan Ecimovic agreed in with the representatives of municipal authorities and Commissioner for refugees of RS in Bratunac to make a global programme for settling issues of non-accommodated and inadequately accommodated refugees in the region of Bratunac municipality. According to that programme, as stressed, there would be solved immediately the problem of water supplying and power supplying for the refugee's camp in the settlement Glogova near Bratunac, in which is temporarily settled around 360 refugees.

BIJELJINA - The ministry of Internal affairs /MUP/ of RS determined on the basis of collected evidence that there is founded doubt that Ljubisa Savic Mauzer masterminded and organised the terroristic attack on the transmitter of the Serbian Radio-TV in Bijeljina. "Savic was twice called in written form to come on informational talks, but he didn't respond. Instead to do so and provide counter argument, he is publicly threatening that he will blow up the building of municipal assembly in Bijeljina", is stressed in the announcement of MUP.

DOBOJ - The operation "The full house" of the Nordic-Polish brigade of MND (multi-national division) "North" against fifth detachment of the Special Police MUP of RS in DOboj "could not be performed in such a peaceful way if the members of this unit were not cooperative". This stated the press officer of SFOR Sjak Haheim at the press conference in Doboj reminding that the

"operation, performed on November 10, was the reaction of SFOR on the visit of member of B&H Presidency from RS to Banja Luka from September 8 and 9, when five members of the Doboj's Special Police were in his escort without the permission of SFOR".

BANJA LUKA - The chief of OSCE mission in B&H Robert Frowick warned in Banja Luka that all parties, coalitions and independent candidates who are enrolled for the next parliamentary elections must get the equal access to media. The presiding of the Provisional Electoral Commission stated at the press conference that OSCE every day has consultations with SFOR about the ways of providing the free access and equal representation of parliamentary programmes and candidates in state media.

BILECA - The president of Serbian National Union /SNS/ Biljana Plavsic stated in Bileca that next parliamentary elections are the real opportunity to preserve RS and "for citizens to elect the assembly which will represent people indeed, and not only be the property of one party". Ms. Plavsic, while talking on the pre-electoral rally of SNS accused the political top of RS that it "tolerate crime in the country, because of what people has no payments and pensions" and announced that she will persist in fighting against that.

BIJELJINA - The president of the Municipal Board of SNS Bijeljina Djordje Krsmanovic informed the public at the extraordinary press conference that the premises of SNS in this city from 4,15 h was performed the terroristic attack. According to his words, "two, for the time being unknown persons with masks tried with metal lever to break the door on the premises of the party, and since they didn't succeed, they have broken glass on the entrance doors and threw in the tear gas, after what they were shooting from machine guns through the doors and windows."

SARAJEVO - At the meeting of the Commissions for demarcation of boundary line between Republika Srpska /RS/ and Federation B&H /FB&H/ was ratified the agreement about correction of border, according to which the village Koprivna near Sanski Most belongs to RS, and the villages Velecevo and Dubocani, near Kljuc, to FB&H, stated for SRNA the vice-president of RS Government Velibor Ostojic. He stressed that the Commission for demarcation of RS ratified the agreement on the base of the decision of Government, which accepted the proposal of agreement, and expressed the hope that next days the same will do the Government of FB&H, and afterwards the SFOR command.

SARAJEVO - The Council of Ministers of B&H debated in Sarajevo the document about the basic directions of foreign political activity of B&H, which, in accordance with adopted stances, would be the guideline for all institution of B&H on international level. The co-presiding of the Council of Ministers of B&H from RS Boro Bosic confirmed that ministers reached the minimum of concordance, on the basis of document made by ministry of the Foreign Affairs, and it would have been adopted by the Presidency of B&H.

SARAJEVO - The ministry of Finance, trade and supplying Drago Simic and Mladjen Cicovic assessed that by the first lot for the free allocation of shares, on November 9 in Bijeljina, started the process of stopping the uncontrolled managing of the state assets. While being guest in the programming of Serbian Orthodox Radio "St. John" they stressed that after the November 9 came the period in which will be affirmed only those who know how to work.

BRCKO - In the continuation of the constitutional session of Municipal Assembly of Brcko, interrupted on last Friday, for the president of Executive Board, who will in the next period in accordance with the order of supervisor Farrand, perform the function of mayor, by the secret ballots was elected Borko Reljic, the candidate of Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/. As by orders of supervisor about the multi-national administration anticipated that the mayor and president of municipal assembly /SO/ cannot belong to the same nation, on the basis of Article 66 of amended Statute of SO Brcko, the supervisor Robert Farrand appointed for the president of Assembly Mustafa Djapa. The vicepresident of SO Brcko, on the basis of Farrand's order, is Bogdan Savija, and secretary Mato Jurisic.

BANJA LUKA - The Senior Adviser for the political parties in the OSCE mission confirmed in Banja Luka that the Provisional Electoral Commission rejected 34 registrations of parties, coalitions and independent candidates for premature parliamentary elections in RS.

SRBAC - The Serbian party dare not make any failure nor omission in implementation of Dayton Agreement in the region of Brcko, because that would have the negative consequences for the interest of the state - stated in Srbac the member of the Arbitrage Commission from RS for the region of this city Vitomir Popovic.

DOBOJ - Only united RS, as recognised by Dayton Agreement, has a chance to withstand all internal and external pressures, underlined in Doboj the president and first on the list of Socialistic Party of RS at the parliamentary elections Zivko Radisic.

BELGRADE - The Government of FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ have decided to send 11 monitors on the premature parliamentary elections in RS - was announced by the federal secretariat for information. As stated in the announcement, issued after the session of the government, the decision was brought on the requirement of the Centre for Democratic and Human Rights of OSCE.
