NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BELGRADE - Before departure at the Peace Implementation Conference in Bonn the President in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) Presidency from Republika Srpska (RS) Momcilo Krajisnik assessed that "if International Community continue to impose the solutions by force, B&H will not have any perspective" and in that sense he characterised this meeting as "crucial". "Only if concordance between two entities, and in many things between three nations exists - B&H has a perspective, because, exactly outvoting provoked war at this areas" - warned Krajisnik in the interview for the paper "Oslobodjenje". According to Krajisnik's opinion the eventual extending of High Representative's authorities "would not have any effect. "

SARAJEVO - The Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) first candidate at the parliamentary elections in RS Aleksa Buha announced that SDS and Serbian Radical Party (SRS) will form parliamentary majority and the new Government, adding that the Socialists will be called upon to support or to join this arrangement. "We still did not talked with socialists, but I hope that they will join too. If they not, we will go together with radicals and in that case we will need more five or six representatives" - emphasised Buha in the statement for SRNA.

SARAJEVO - The SDS Main Board forwarded a complaint to Election Appeals Subcommission in which demands rechecking and correction of the RS parliamentary elections results, which are established with yesterdays decision of the Provisional Election Commission (PEC), about provisional confirming of the elections. As it was stated in the explanation of the complaint "after the examination of provisionally confirmed results it is easy to see that PEC accepted ballots from abroad which did not had proper i.e. compulsory documentation as valid, what is against the PEC rules and regulations."

BANJALUKA - The Vice-President of Serbian National Union (SNS) Ostoja Knezevic stated for SRNA that SNS "can be satisfied with the results of parliamentary elections, because little time passed from forming of the Union till elections." According to Knezevic, now, we shall work on constituting of RS National Assembly and Government which will be formed of experts and which will work for RS interests.

BANJALUKA - The result of RS parliamentary elections confirmed our predictions that in the new parliament nobody will have absolute majority and that even two parties cannot secure overwhelming majority - emphasises the President of Socialist Party of RS (SPRS) Zivko Radisic. "Is it good or bad for the parliament and for further evolution of democratic relations - the time will show" - stated Radisic for SRNA.

BELGRADE - The President of SDS for Serbia (FRY) Dragoljub Kojcic confirmed that SDS negotiates with SRS and SPRS about forming of coalition Government in RS. He also confirmed that SDS lodged a complaint because of 90,000 ballots from FB&H were counted without presence of RS representatives and because the copies of records were not delivered to Serbian controllers.

SARAJEVO - The RS Minister of Information Svetlana Siljegovic assessed that High Representative Carlos Westendorp prepared, for the Conference in Bonn, a very unfavourable solution for Serbian Radio Television (SRT). In the open letter to Mr. Westendorp, Mrs. Siljegovic explained this assessment with the fact that SRT workers are accused, again, for fall of transmitters network what is, according to letter, a consequence of irregular repairing which is caused by SFOR blockade.

BRCKO - The President of SPRS Municipal Board in Brcko Petar Djokic harshly condemned the directive of Supervisor Robert Farrand about halting the privatisation process, although he personally considers that this Privatisation Law is bad. "Supervisor has no right to suspend the Privatisation Law. By that move he overstepped his authorities and eliminated RS from deciding in the privatisation process what is against Dayton Agreement" - emphasised Djokic in the statement for SRNA.

MOSTAR - The member of B&H Presidency Kresimir Zubak supports the efforts of Croats from Vares to return to their homes from which they were expelled by Muslim soldiers - reports Croatian radio Herzeg-Bosnia. During the talk with the delegation of Croats from Vares, Mr. Zubak agreed with their demand that the President of Vares Municipality should be the candidate of Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
