BIJELJINA - The National Assembly of Republika Srpska /NA RS/ at the last night finished first part of Inaugural session in Bijeljina did not choose the leadership, and it will be dine at the continuation of session, which would be held in January 1998. Concluding the session, the presiding Dragan Kalinic announced that at the consultations of the clubs of delegates on January 9 will be assessed whether there exist conditions to hold continuation of the session on January 12. He said for SRNA after the session that never before he had such a difficult session and expressed the fear that the crisis of Government in RS, for which was believed that will be solved by elections for NA, could be deepened if it is not constituted.

BIJELJINA - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic assessed the yesterday's First inaugural session of NA as constructive and expressed the hope that until January 12 the parties will reach an agreement about election of president, vice-president and secretary general of the parliament. "At the first moment it looked like there will be no results form the session, but in the continuation was done a good part of the job", stated Mrs. Plavsic for SRNA, and asked does she hopes for compromise she briefly answered: "I always hope".

BIJELJINA - The president in the Presidency of B&H from RS Momcilo Krajisnik thinks that the session of NA RS was unsuccessful, stressing for SRNA that it shows that more efforts had to be made and more wisdom during making decision about the early parliamentary elections. As the only way for solving the disputes he noted the approaching stances by means of concessions, warning that contrary RS will fall into much deeper crisis. assessing the possibility of compromise until the continuation of constitutive session of Parliament, Krajisnik said that such solution was emerging and stressed that Mrs. Plavsic made a mistake by proposing the mandator of the government.

BIJELJINA - The president of the club of delegates of Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ Aleksa Buha stated last night the he expects that until January 12, when was anticipated the continuation of First inaugural session of NA RS will be solved the disputable issues. "We are practically at the beginning of agenda. The session is not constituted because its leadership was not chosen", said Buha for SRNA, assessing the session as very difficult, with "lot of idle operation".

BIJELJINA - The president of the club of delegates of the Serbian Radical Party Nikola Poplasen concluded last night that the assessments that early parliamentary elections can not solve the political crisis in RS proved to be true and evident at the constitutive session and that in the "very dramatic way". He stated for SRNA that Serbian radicals will try to "mitigate what somebody else spoiled", until the continuation of the session, but he thinks that "the prospects for that are very small".

BIJELJINA - The president of the club of delegates of the Serbian People's Union /SNS/ Svetozar Mihajlovic is partly satisfied by the work of session of Assembly of RS and he thinks that until January 12, the parliamentary parties will make their stances closer about the election of president, vice-president and secretary general of the assembly. "If there is no compromise and good will in delegates of SDS and SRS we shall form the government and assembly leadership with other parties", stated Mihajlovic for SRNA.

ROGATICA - At the whole region of RS the precipitations was recorded - in the lower areas rain, and in higher snow; in spite of that main roads are transient and the traffic is performed without stoppage - are stressed in the Auto-motor Union of RS and warned that drivers must have winter equipment. The ice do not endanger the traffic because the temperatures are positive - claims competent persons.

BRCKO - The president of Executive Board of Municipal Assembly /IO SO/ of Brcko Borko Reljic stated that the programme of the work of new municipal government is comprised of two parts - revival the economy and increasing the rate of employment and political acting in the direction of preserving this city in the composition of Republika Srpska /RS/. " According to what we have seen so far, another party will try in all possible ways, with the help of international community to draw out Brcko from the framework of RS. However, RS has firm arguments to keep this town in the composition of RS" - said Reljic for SRNA. "Republika Srpska is being very seriously prepared for March 15, the date scheduled for holding the last arbitrage session of the Arbitrage Tribunal" - he said and added that RS if firmly committed for respecting the Dayton Agreement.

TREBINJE - From may next year the Eastern-Hercegovina municipalities will not have problems with telecommunications - the Ministry of Traffic and Telecommunications of RS and "Telecommunications" from Trebinje agreed to purchase new Switch-board with Swedish "Ericson", and investment amounts 1, 600,000 DEM. The equipment will come in January, and mounting will be finished for one month. "This is most modern system, which will enable us to introduce the subscribers into "Inter-net", E-mail and provide the integral system of digital links" - noted the director of "Telecommunications" Svetozar Basor.

SARAJEVO - The last month of this year in RS will be remembered not only by great political events but also the cultural manifestations, of which some are traditional or they will become that: the Third Festival of One Actor - Mono-drama of Srpska, First international film festival in RS "FERS-'97" and awarding the "Kocic books" and "Kocic's pen for winter".
