NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BELGRADE - High delegation of Republika Srpska (RS) with the president Biljana Plavsic at the head of it talked in Beli Dvor in Belgrade with the president of FR Yugoslavia (FRY) Slobodan Milosevic. The meeting was attended by RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, the Minister of Defence Manojlo Milovanovic and Minister of Internal Affairs Milovan Stankovic. None of them gave a statement after the meeting.

SARAJEVO - The president in B&H Presidency from RS Momcilo Krajisnik received in Pale in a courteous call Spain Ambassador to Sarajevo His Excellency Hose Angel Lopez Horin - is stated from the Cabinet of the president Krajisnik. He thanked Spain Government for participation of her soldiers in keeping of peace and informed him about viewpoint of RS on implementation of the Dayton Agreement.

BELGRADE - RS Government's delegation with the Prime Minister Milorad Dodik at the head of it talked in Belgrade with the president of Republic Serbia's Government Mirko Marjanovic about development of mutual cooperation in all fields of economic and social development on the base of the Agreement on special parallel relationships between RS and FRY. The Ministry of Information of Republika Serbia announced that mutual interest for joining modern world integration processes has been especially emphasised and that it has been agreed to direct joint activities on planning and coordinating of economic development in the following period. "Stamping out of crime, black-marketing and other forms of illegal turnover and black economy" were cited as priorities in the work.

SARAJEVO - SFOR is involved in establishment of peace, and strong forces are determined to "act productively and farsightedly in development if civilian institutions, to create farsighted and free future for B&H" - stated in Pale the Deputy Commander of SFOR American General Hju Pike after a meeting with the president in B&H Presidency from RS Momcilo Krajisnik. Mr. Krajisnik have not made a statement.

SARAJEVO - The presiding of Serbian Democratic Party's (SDS) Presidency Aleksa Buha and a member of the Main Board Velibor Ostojic talked in Pale in separated visits with the political director of OSCE Vladimir Kuznecov about situation in RS, stressing the work of the RS National Assembly. Buha repeated to Kuznecov that continuation of RS National Assembly's session, scheduled by its president Dragan Kalinic, would be held in Bijeljina on January 24 at 11,00 am. After two-hour's talks Ostojic stated that he had talked with Kuznecov also about possible course of events in the country.

SARAJEVO - The representatives of governments of RS, FB&H and Japan sighed in Sarajevo coordinated records and documents on awarding of help for realisation of two projects from a field of the traffic and agriculture in RS and FB&H - donation of building equipment and acquisition of agricultural machines and artificial fertiliser. The harmonised texts represent the final document before approving of Japanese Government' help and ceremony of signing was performed in two parts. The Ministers of RS and FB&H thanked Japanese delegation for help reminding that they would do everything to improve agricultural production in RS and FB&H.

SOKOLAC -Representatives of Sokolac local Parliament from Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), Serbian Radical Party (SRS) and Socialist Party (SP) think that the new government of RS " has been elected in illegal way", and that " it can lead to division of Republic". It turned out that three leading parties in Municipal Assembly of Sokolac have unique stance on this issue.

PRNJAVOR - Continuation of interrupted session of RS National Assembly in Bijeljina is "irregular" and the Government, " elected without participation of national parties - nondemocratic and puppet" - assessed the Municipal Board of SDS from Prnjavor. It is claimed in the announcement that this "act pointed against interests of Serbian people, leads to drawing of RS in unitary B&H and threats to ruin all results of war of liberation".

SAMAC - Representatives of the Command of the Third Corps of RS Army and chiefs of the Ministry of Defence of municipalities in a zone of responsibility of this corps discussed at a regular meeting in Samac about possibility of improvement in units and other questions from domain of the Ministry. It is stated in an announcement that this kind of meetings have contributed to combat readiness and quality of internal organisation in the Corps.

PRIJEDOR - Representatives of eight political parties of the Municipal Board from Prijedor reached a final agreement about distribution of seats of officials and seats in commissions of the municipal parliament. Instead of seat of the second vice - president of the Municipal Assembly and Executive Board representatives of Coalition for United and Democratic B&H were given seat of the secretary of Secretariat for General Administration and Social Activities, with which they have agreed.

BELGRADE - The president of FRY Slobodan Milosevic thinks that successful realisation of the Dayton Agreement is of "vital importance" for RS and its citizens, and expresses expectance that the new Government will consistently work on implementation of the Agreement - is said in a statement made after the meeting with RS Government's delegation . In talks with the Government's delegation, which was led by the new Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, Milosevic emphasised that FRY would support all efforts on realisation of the main goals of RS, first of all making stronger her unity, i. e. overcoming divisions which have caused deep crisis. The newly elected Prime Minister of RS Milorad Dodik stated that the new Government would primarily face toward interests of RS citizens, in which more intensified cooperation between RS and the international community has a great influence.

SARAJEVO - The president in B&H Presidency form RS Momcilo Krajisnik informed the Swiss Ambassador Wilhelm Schmidt about aspects and specifications of situation in B&H and new consequences of civil war in these regions, emphasising that a key for peace is - equality of the two entities and three nations. During the courteous visit to Krajisnik in Pale Mr. Schmidt pointed out on certain similarities between B&H and Switzerland, emphasising that experience showed that joint life of different nations was possible, but that it was, as he said, long-lasting process - is said in a statement from Krajisnik's Cabinet.

BANJALUKA - President of RS Government Milorad Dodik scheduled for tomorrow in Banjaluka the second session of his Cabinet, and on an agenda will be analysis of accomplishment of Plan of Operations of the Government until the end of January. "On the agenda is also information about arbitrage for IEBL in the region of Brcko, then fixing of the Draft of the Law on change of the Law on RS Government, as well as the Draft of the Law on ceasing of validness of laws passed by dismissed RS National Assembly", is reported from the Cabinet of president of the Government.

BELGRADE - His Holiness patriarch Serbian Mr. Pavle talked in Belgrade with bishops from B&H on the occasion of announcements of the new RS Government that it would carry out a policy of "strict separation of church and state". The patriarch Pavle invited all bishops, except the ones from far away eparchies in foreign countries, to attend Bishop conference which will be held on Friday. For that sudden session the bishops did not get an agenda, but, as SRNA learns, the topic should be condition of the Church and Serbian people in this moment.

SARAJEVO - The Second session of RS National Assembly is not finished yet - discussion on the mandatory of the Government was just at the half-way point, and the fact that part of the representatives continued the discussion without the representatives of Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) and Radicals is violation of the Operating Procedures, Constitution and Law, and SDS can not accept that. This stance was stated by the president of SDS Presidency Aleksa Buha in a statement for a Serbian Radio Studio Srpsko Sarajevo. "The SDS Club of Representatives thinks that the session should be continued at the point where it has been interrupted" - said Buha and reminded that president of the National Assembly interrupted the session and promised that the session would be continued in seven days.

SRBINJE - The Municipal Board of SDS from Srbinje completely accepted conclusions of the SDS Main Board and Club of Representatives, giving support to representatives of this party to express in political means disagreement with the way in which the new RS Government was formed, its composition, quality of ministers and proposed programme.

SRBINJE - Internal-party elections in SRS of Srbinje are progressing by plan and will be finished before February 10, after which the Assembly of SRS Municipal Board will be convoked - is stated at a regular press- conference of Radicals from Srbinje. The president of the Municipal Board Zoran Nikolic explained for SRNA that it is about regular elections, which aim is continued democratisation of the Party and election of the best personnel.

BELGRADE - SDS for Serbia accused RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik to "reduce the role and importance of Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) in tha political life of RS". As it is said in a statement for the public, "Dodik proposed Jovo Turanjin for the Minister of Religion without concord of SPC archbishop and in that way violated the right of Bishop Council to bless the act of election of the Minister".

BANJALUKA - The president of the Executive Board of RS Democratic-Patriotic Party (DPS) Dragan Danelisin welcomed inauguration of the new RS Government and appointment of Milorad Dodik for its premier, emphasising that a new session of NS RS is necessary because of other important questions, and not because of the new government.

SARAJEVO - The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the B&H Council of Ministers Jadranko Prlic confirmed that a request for accepting credentials of B&H Ambassador to FRY was forwarded, writes "Dnevni avaz", a paper from the federal part of Sarajevo. Prlic emphasised that "he expects a positive answer from Belgrade" and that "soon diplomatic relationships between these two countries could be established".

RUDO - If the representative of Coalition for United and Democratic B&H does not won a seat in the executive power of the Municipal Assembly of Rudo before Monday, January 27, OSCE representatives will not approve certificate necessary for work of local authority and will appoint the Municipal Assembly's president and other members of executive power by themselves in the shortest term.

BANJALUKA - The authorised representative of three largest syndicate of Italy Batalo Louigi from Bergam informed the president of RS Syndicate Union Cedo Volas that realisation of the experimental project "PRINT", whose value is 4 millions of DEM, would begun toward the end of February and last for six months. At a meeting in Banjaluka Mr. Louigi said funds for realisation of the project PRINT", which related to fields of health and social politics, were provided by the Italian Government.

BIJELJINA - If RS Government does not fulfil requests of workers in education before January 26, education in primary and secondary schools will not begin in the region of Bijeljina - stated for SRNA the president of the Municipal Syndicate of Bijeljina Ratko Bobar. According to him, the Government have promised that it would provide 50 % of the means during this week, while the rest would be paid off next week.

SRPSKI BROD - Norway council for refugees - non-government humanitarian organisation - offered to Executive Board of Municipal Board of Srpski Brod help in placing glass on 240 housing units.

KOZARSKA DUBICA - In organisation of British humanitarian organisation "The Children in Crisis" a great humanitarian concert "Children to Children", which total income is intended for treatment of sick children in RS, will be held in Kozarska Dubica on January 24.
