[01] House President - Germany
Nicosia, Sep 7 (CNA) -- Cyprus House President Spyros Kyprianou has called
on Europe to adopt a common policy and not a double standards policy,
reminding his European counterparts that Cyprus continues to be subjected
to ethnic cleansing by Turkey, which occupied one third of the country's
territory.
Addressing a meeting, marking 50 years since the establishment of the
German Federal Parliament, he said "the reunification of Germany was
probably the most historic event since the end of the Second World War."

[04] Spokesman - Murdered enclaved
Nicosia, Sep 7 (CNA) -- Cyprus Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou
expressed the conviction that the murder of a Greek Cypriot enclaved in the
Turkish-occupied areas of the island did not have political motives.
Papapetrou said according to reports which the government possesses,
the murder did not have any political motives, noting that the political
aspect of the murder derives from the occupation regime's failure to
achieve conditions of safety for the enclaved.
