by Emilia Christofi
New York, Sep 26 (CNA) -- US State Department Coordinator for Cyprus
Thomas Weston said that both Nicosia and Athens have the necessary
political will for a settlement to the Cyprus question but it remains to be
seen if the Turkish side has the same will or whether it could be
engendered.
In his speech at the Cyprus Federation of America 1999 Annual Awards
Gala held in New York last night, Weston said the US administration and he
himself are committed to do everything in their power to secure a just and
durable solution to the Cyprus problem.
