    [01] Students' revolt - Commemoration

Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) -- Cypriot students and pupils today commemorated the violent crushing of a students' revolt in Athens in 1973 by the military junta then ruling Greece, with a march to the US embassy.

Some 2,000 people shouted slogans against fascism to mark the anniversary as police sealed off the area surrounding the embassy building and kept demonstrators well away from it.
