    [01] Commerce Minister - Russia

    Nicosia, Mar 19 (CNA) - Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Nicos Rolandis leaves for Russia on Monday, for meetings with a view to promote the industry of high technology and Cyprus' tourism.

    Rolandis, heading a multi-party delegation, will address a seminar on high technology organised in Moscow by Cyprus' Ministry of Commerce and the Russian Association of Technological Education, which aims at informing researchers about the New Industrial Policy of Cyprus in relation to the development of high technology.

    [02] Parliamentary elegation - Luxembourg - Belgium

    Nicosia, Mar 19(CNA) - A Cyprus Parliamentary delegation leaves today for Luxembourg and Belgium for contacts with European Union officials dealing with matters relating to control of public expenditure.

    The delegation will have meetings with representatives of the European Auditing Department in Luxembourg, will visit the Court of the European Commuties and will attend the proceedings of the Control Budget Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels.

    [03] Minister of Agriculture - Water Forum

    Nicosia, Mar 19 (CNA) -- Costas Themistocleous, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment, leaves Monday for the Hague, the Netherlands, to participate in the second World Forum on water and a ministerial meeting on water- related matters.

    The purpose of the Forum is to prepare a world plan of action to find ways to manage water resources.

    [04] British Soldiers - Accident - Dead

    Nicosia, Mar 19 (CNA) - Two British soldiers based in Cyprus were killed today and two others were injured when their car collided with a truck and burst into flames.

    The accident occurred at 2.30 a.m., on the Limassol - Paphos highway near the coastal village of Pissouri, approximately 600 metres away from the highway, part of which is still under construction.

    [05] Defence Minister - Greece

    Larnaca, Mar 19 (CNA) -- Defence Minister Socrates Hasikos left today for Greece where he will take delivery of a patrol boat and visit Greek war industry plants. Hasikos, who departed on a Greek Air Force C-130, is accompanied by the Commander of the National Guard Demetrios Demou, members of the House Defence Committee and other officials.
