[02] Cyprus FM - "Land for Peace"
Nicosia, Apr 25 (CNA) -- Cyprus Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides has
said that territory is the key issue for a settlement and rejected a demand
by Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash for an exchange of all properties
between Greek and Turkish Cypriots.
Addressing a Rotarian gathering in Nicosia last night, the Foreign Minister
said the Cyprus government would not discuss such a demand because it was
"contrary to internationally accepted human rights".

Nicosia, Apr 25 (CNA) -- The US would like to see "more intensive

extensive discussions on common points and points of difference.
US Ambassador to Cyprus Donald Bandler also advocated more seclusion of the
participants when the UN-sponsored talks get into their full swing and said
parties actively involved in the peace process wish to see a successful
