[01] Acting House President - Alexandria
Nicosia, May 21 (CNA) - Acting House of Representatives President, Nicos
Anastasiades, departs tomorrow for Alexandria, to represent the House at
the 2nd Conference of the Presidents of Euro-Mediterranean Parliaments.
The Conference will deal with peace and security in the Mediterranean basin,
combating terrorism and organised crime, the effects of globalisation on
culture, and the creation of employment opportunities in relation to
immigration.

[02] Greek Foreign Minister - Interview
Nicosia, May 21 (CNA) -- Greece's Foreign Minister, George Papandreou, said
the lack of progress on the Cyprus problem will, in no doubt, affect Greco-
Turkish relations in the long-, medium- and short-term.
In an interview with "Haravghi" newspaper, Papandreou further said the
improved climate in the two countries' relations, created after the
Helsinki European Council will have "positive results on the future and
bilateral relations, especially on Cyprus".

[03] Deputy - Detention - Government representation
Limassol, May 21 (CNA) -- Democratic Party deputy Marios Matsakis, detained
yesterday by the British Bases at Episkopi after blocking a road during a
demonstration against the Red Arrows, will meet today House President
Spyros Kyprianou.
Matsakis said he will give Kyprianou "interesting evidence about the Red
Arrows aerial acrobatic team flights over Akrotiri".
