[04] Finance Minister - OECD meeting
Larnaca, Jun 27 (CNA) - Cyprus' participation in a symposium of the
Organisation for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD) is an honour
for the Republic, Finance Minister Takis Klerides said here today, noting
this is the first time Nicosia has been invited to such a meeting.
Welcoming the non-inclusion of Cyprus in the OECD "black list", he said the
country will continue to operate as an international offshore center and
following the measures it promised it would take, it hopes to increase the
number of offshore units operating on the island.
