Nicosia, 19 Aug (CNA) -- Palestinian members of non-governmental
organizations spent a week in Cyprus attending a workshop funded by the
European Union MEDA- Democracy programme, aiming at the promotion of
cooperation, democracy and peace in the Middle East and the eastern
Mediterranean.
The 19 Palestinians, who are leaving today, were supposed to be joined by
Israeli NGO members, who cancelled their trip here at the last minute, a
decision that disappointed both the organisers and the participants.
