[01] British Bases - Tziakourmas case - Reconstruction

Larnaca, Jan 24 (CNA) -- The British Bases in Cyprus have confirmed that Greek Cypriot Panicos Tziakourmas was abducted from Sovereign Base Area (SBA) by the Turkish occupation regime and was taken from his car by force and against his will. The evidence they have gathered also proves that Tziakourmas did not possess drugs, as claimed by the illegal regime in the island's occupied north.

The Bases Police today conducted a reconstruction of the events that took place on December 13, 2000, when the building contractor was abducted, in the presence of both Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot journalists, his wife and other family members, proving their point as well as the fact that the whole incident was a set up.
