Nicosia, Jan 30 (CNA) - Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou today
announced that the Cyprus government would be sending 50.000 dollars to
India in symbolic assistance for the earthquake victims, after a decision
taken this morning by the Council of Ministers.
Papapetrou also said President Glafcos Clerides would be sending a message
of condolences to the Indian government, for the victims of the devastating
earthquake, which hit the country last week and claimed thousands of lives.
