    President Clerides - Alvaro De Soto

    Nicosia, Aug 30 (CNA) -- UN Secretary General's Special Adviser on Cyprus Alvaro De Soto has said he expects from the Greek and Turkish Cypriot sides cooperation and good talks, leading to a comprehensive settlement of the Cyprus problem.

    De Soto, on the island for a series of separate meetings with Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides and Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash, had a working breakfast here today with the President. Tomorrow he will meet separately both Denktash and Clerides.

    Weather forecast for Cyprus

    Nicosia, Aug 30 (CNA) - The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

    Friday and Saturday: 31/8/2001 to 1/9/2001

    The weather will be mainly fine. The wind will be light 2 to 3 BF during nights and mornings and light to moderate seabreezes 3-4BF in the afternoons. The sea will be slight but up to moderate over south coast during afternoons. The temperature will range between 22C and 37C inland and between 22C and 32C on the coasts.

    Outlook for Sunday and Monday: 2/9/2001 to 3/9/2001

    The weather will continue fine with no significant change in temperature.

    Sea Temperature: 26C
