    Vassiliou: We will face Turkish reaction responsibly

    Nicosia, Jun 19 (CNA) -- Cyprus Chief Negotiator with the EU George Vassiliou and Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou have agreed that Turkey might try to create tension in Cyprus, in an effort to prevent the island's accession to the EU.

    Cypriot overseas' annual conference opens

    Washington, Jun 19 (CNA) -- The US important role to the solution of the Cyprus problem is the central issue to be addressed by the 13th Annual PSEKA/SAE Cyprus Conference, taking place here June 18 - 20.

    Greeks living in the US and other countries will chart the strategy and ways of making the US Administration act to alter Turkey's stance on the Cyprus problem, with a view to reach a just and viable solution to the Cyprus problem, based on UN resolutions and secure Cyprus' EU accession course.
