    Chambers submit proposal to EU for bicommunal projects

    Nicosia, Jun 23 (CNA) -- Representatives of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEBE) and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce submitted to Brussels a 1,5 million euro programme for bicommunal training projects.

    KEBE chairman Vasilis Rologis has told CNA that in mid July the European Union chief negotiator with Cyprus Leopold Maurer will be on the island to talk to the two Chambers and decide on the specific programmes that would be promoted for implementation in 2002.

    Commerce Minister leaves for Russia

    Nicosia, Jun 23 (CNA) -- Commerce, Industry and Tourism Minister Nicos Rolandis leaves for Russia today to inaugurate an exhibition of Cypriot produce.

    Rolandis, heading a government delegation, will be present at the "Cyprus Days in Moscow" exhibition, with 50 local companies displaying their products and services they offer.
