    Central Bank Governor to attend ECB General Council meeting

    Larnaca, Dec 15 (CNA) Central Bank Governor Christodoulos Christodoulou left for Frankfurt today to participate in the 30th meeting of the European Central Bank General Council that will be held from 15-16 December.

    During the meeting, the monetary and economic developments in EU member-states will be discussed. The participants will also be informed on a series of current issues of common interest among member-states.

    Turkey has to adapt the Ankara Agreement, says Spokesman

    Nicosia, Dec 15 (CNA) -- Turkey, that aspires to join the European Union, has an obligation to adapt the Ankara Agreement to take into account the accession of the ten new member states, including Cyprus, Cypriot Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides has said.
