A UNHCR press release says that due to the continuing difficulty in delivering humanitarian aid to Lebanon by air or road, the United Nations started moving aid by sea from Cyprus to Beirut.

Kykkos Monastery, the Armenian Church of Cyprus and the Orthodox Metropolis of Lebanon continue to coordinate the distribution of 100 tons of humanitarian aid from Cyprus to the tried people of Lebanon.

Archimandrite Isaias Kykkotis, in charge of the Kykkos Monastery Humanitarian Missions, told CNA that the Cypriot delegation is currently at the Antiochia Partiarchate Humanitarian Aid Distribution Centre in Beirut.

The Cypriot mission will remain in Lebanon until all humanitarian aid is delivered successfully.
