    Cyprus Presidential Commissioner George Iacovou and Turkish Cypriot leader`s aide Ozdil Nami will meet Monday in view of a meeting to be held Tuesday between Cyprus President Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat.

    UN Secretary General`s Special Representative to Cyprus Taye-Brook Zerihoun will be present at the meeting.

    Christofias and Talat will meet on Tuesday for the third time since their first encounter in March this year, after Christofias was elected to the Presidency of the Republic. Following that meeting, six working groups and seven technical committees have been set up to discuss day to day concerns as well as core issues to prepare the ground for substantive negotiations between the two leaders towards a political settlement that will reunite Cyprus, which has been divided since the 1974 Turkish invasion.

    [02] WATER TANKER ARRIVAL

    The first tanker transporting 50 thousand cubic meters of water from Greece is expected to arrive to the southern town of Limassol, Monday evening.

    In statements to CNA Ocean Tankers Chairman Michalis Ioannides said there will be a delay at the arrival of the tanker due to the rough seas at the Aegean. The tanker will dock at Limassol port.

    The companys tankers can carry 50 thousand cubic metres of water daily and the whole process will be concluded in 160 days that is in mid November, according to the contract. Cyprus has bought eight million cubic meters of water from Greece to offset the effects of the severe drought that has hit the island.
