[01] Government Spokesman: Turkey's reactions cannot affect Cyprus'
accession course
Turkey's "blackmail" cannot affect Cyprus' accession course, Christos
Stylianides stated yesterday.
Commenting on a recent statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry following
the start of EU substantive accession negotiations with Cyprus, Mr
Stylianides pointed out that the Turkish Foreign Ministry's statement
"clearly shows anxiety and bewilderment over the start of the substantive
negotiations."
The Spokesman reiterated the government's invitation to the Turkish
Cypriots to join the Republic's negotiating team, pointing out that the
proposal of the President of the Republic "is on the table, so that we can
proceed together towards the difficult road which will secure the future of
the people of Cyprus."
[02] Council of Ministers approves Cyprus' participation in EU programme
The Council of Ministers approved at its last session on Wednesday November
11, the country's participation in the 5th EU Framework Programme on
Research, Technical Development and Demonstration (1998-2002).

financial conditions of the country's participation.
Cyprus' overall financial contribution to the programme has been calculated
