[01] Terrorist attack in Mozdok : message of condolences from Romano Prodi
to Vladimir Putin
The President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi, has sent the
following message to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir
Putin : "It is with shock and horror that I have learnt the tragic news of
the bomb attack in Mozdok. We share your sorrow and our hearts go out to
the families and loved ones of the victims. On this sad occasion, the
European Commission reiterates its full rejection of any form of
terrorism."
[02] Commission clears Dutch joint venture between Cementbouw and ENCI
The European Commission has cleared the creation of a joint venture between
building materials producers Cementbouw and ENCI, both based in the
Netherlands. On 1 July the Commission received notification of an agreement
whereby Dutch undertakings Cementbouw Betonmortel B.V. and ENCI Holding
N.V. will create a joint venture, which will comprise the current
aggregates business of ENCI.
[03] Juin 2003 : les prix à la production industrielle en baisse de 0,1%
dans la zone euro et dans l'UE15
Les prix à la production industrielle dans la zone euro ont baissé de 0,1%
au mois de juin 2003 par rapport au mois précédent, selon les estimations
publiées aujourd'hui par Eurostat. Les prix dans l'UE15 ont aussi diminué
de 0,1%. Au mois de mai 2003, les prix avaient baissé de 0,4% dans les deux
zones. En juin 2003 et par rapport à juin 2002, les prix à la production
industrielle ont augmenté de 1,4% dans la zone euro et de 1,5% dans l'UE15.
