Greek exports to Britain rose by 11 percent in 1999, reaching a 398
million pounds sterling, according to data released Tuesday by the
British statistical service.
Foodstuffs, mainly fresh grapes, tomato paste, tinned fruit, olive oil
and yoghurt comprised the chief group of exports, accounting for 23
percent of total exports to Britain, followed by ready-to-wear
clothing, exports of which rose by 40 percent last year.

Clocks will be turned back one hour this Sunday, March 26, to begin
summer time, the transport and communications ministry said Tuesday.
Clocks should be turned back at 3:00 am on Sunday to show 4:00 am.
