Nearly nine million registered voters are called on to vote for a new
government for Greece on Sunday, April 9.
According to figures released by the interior ministry, a total of
8,976,135 registered voters will cast their votes to elect 300 Members
of Parliament from the candidate lists of 26 competing political
parties at 18,959 polling stations throughout the country.
The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
A minimum of three percent nationwide is required for a party to gain a
seat in parliament.
