Equity prices were falling at the opening of trading Monday on the
Athens Stock Exchange, with the general index down 0.68 percent at
2,786.98 points and turnover at 9.5 million euro.
Individual sector indices were mostly moving downward, with the biggest
losses in the IT sector, down 2.62 percent, and the biggest gains in
foods and beverages, up 1.07 per cent.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down
0.52 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 0.72 percent, and the
FTSE/ASE SMALLCAP index was down 0.97 percent.
Of the stocks moved, 65 were up, 161 were down and 153 were unchanged.
