[01] Turkish F-16s harass civilian flight after interception for infringement of FIR

Two Turkish jetfighters which had early Monday been intercepted for infringement of the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) harassed a Greek civilian flight headed to Istanbul 18 miles northeast of Psara island.

[02] Earthquake rocks Pieria prefecture

A strong earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre in Litochoro, 250 kilometres northwest of Athens, rocked Pieria prefecture Monday morning, but no damage was immediately reported.

Sunny throughout Greece on Monday, with only a chance of clouds, sporadic rain in the north. Northerly winds, moderate to strong on the Aegean. Temperatures 16C to 34C on the mainland; 18C to 29C on the islands.
