[01] Mirage jetfighter crashes into sea, copilots rescued

A two-seat Mirage-2000 Air Force jetfighter crashed into the Aegean Sea
west of Chios island on Thursday while on a training flight, and its
two pilots have been located and were safe, according to press reports.
The accident was tentatively believed to have been caused by an engine
malfunction.

Cloudy weather is forecast throughout the country with showers in many
areas, especially the west. Isolated storms are also expected. Winds
southerly, variable, moderate to very strong. Temperatures to drop
slightly, with a minimum of 14C and maximum of 19C in Athens; and in
Thessaloniki, 10C to 15C.
