[01] PASOK information booth vandalised in Maroussi06/03/2004 19:12:26A ruling PASOK party information booth for non-local voters in Kastalia Square, Maroussi was vandalised during the night by unknown assailants, it was reported on Saturday. The culprits flung rocks through the booth's glass windows and then fled the scene without being intercepted. [02] PM visits his own constituency in working-class Kaminia06/03/2004 19:12:20Prime Minister Costas Simitis on Saturday visited his own constituency in the working-class district of Kaminia in southwest Athens near Piraeus, on the eve of the general elections on Sunday. His first port of call was the district's central square, where he talked with local residents and visited a number of shops and businesses on the square and surrounding roads. He then called at PASOK's campaign office in Kaminia, after which he joined PASOK party parliamentary candidates in the Athens 1st and Piraeus 2nd constituencies for a glass of wine in a local taverna. Papandreou held his dinner at Kerameikos and Karamanlis at the restaurant Aigli in Zappion. Both leaders said they were confident about victory in the polls.
