Greece's National Defence Minister Evangelos Meimarakis and his Bulgarian counterpart Vesselin Bliznakov will discuss bilateral relations and cooperation between the defence ministries of Greece and Bulgaria during Meimarakis' two-day official visit to Sofia which starts this coming Monday.

This was announced on Friday by the Press Office of Bulgaria's Defence Ministry, according to which the Greek defence minister's programme will include meetings with Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov and Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev, as well as with the relevant parliamentary committee.

The announcement by the Bulgarian defence ministry's press office added:"The dynamic relations between the two countries in the military sector have a twenty-year-long history, which can be described as an example of bonds of good neighbourliness and joint efforts to the benefit of a better future and of the interests of the two peoples."
