[01] Bakoyannis meets Islamic Conference Gen-Sec
Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis had a half-hour meeting with
Organization of the Islamic Conference General Secretary Ekmeleddin
Ihsanoglu at the foreign ministry on Monday.
"We had a very sincere and constructive meeting during which we
discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian issue," stated
Ihsanoglu speaking to the Turkish mass media.
Ihsanoglu, who visited Athens to address a National Hellenic Research
Foundation event on Sunday evening, added that his next stop will be
Palestine where he will undertake an initiative aimed at improving
relations between Hamas and Fatah.
Also visiting Athens on Monday was Montenegro Foreign Minister Milan
Rocen, who was received by Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis at the
premier's offices in Maximos Mansion on Monday morning. No statements
were made after the meeting.
